Saturday Feast

Hi all! I hope you’re having a wonderful holiday weekend! We are!! Thursday we had a “traditional” Thanksgiving dinner with duck as our main meal. M had an assignment a few weeks ago and we learned that turkey was most likely not a part of the first Thanksgiving. But, today, our big Thanksgiving feast, we’ll be cooking up a turkey. Yesterday we all got to meet up with my old colleague from the university I worked at in Missouri. We had dim sum in London, at Ping Pong off of Oxford Circus (shopper’s haven!). The food was pretty good and

They can sleep wherever while doing whatever. Jovie was just hanging out with me, sitting, playing and babbling and then silent. I looked and I found this: I caught her before she fell over forward. Ahh… kids!!! The above card was created using the latest Waltzingmouse sketch. It’s a fun little sketch and I kind of like the colors I used: blue, rust/orange, brown, white and silver. I was a bit upset though about this card… hubby’s friend got married yesterday. He was invited but we couldn’t go and he asked me if I have a card that he could

My IKEA List

Hi again folks!! Happy happy weekend to you! It’ll be a busy weekend here for us but I hope to have a little bit of time tonight to relax and do some projects. I am teaching a few classes next semester (online) and I’ve been busy reading, browsing the WWW for new issues/discussions/topic on online teaching/learning, and trying to figure out what assignment to keep, change, or remove. Happy weekend everybody!! Here’s my first creation, using Waltzingmouse’s sketch and Sassy Season digital papers from in the Making Designs at Jessica Sprague, after almost two weeks! I’ll be busy creating again the next few days though cause I just got a few design team packages in the mail. YEAH! Tonight we’ll be watching some fireworks (celebrating UK’s Guy Fawkes day and fund raising for the local preschool) and then a bonfire at our friend’s house. We’ll be showing them what Americans do around a fire: Making and eating S’mores! Good times!! I also want to share more pictures of

Little Whitnell Cottage

Happy weekend!!! I hope your week was great! Ours was!!! We had a lovely lovely time at our little vacation cottage: Little Whitnell Cottage near Nether Stowey in Somerset, England. Today I have this card to share, a few photos and a little bit on our cottage renting experience… Back in the days my ex and I used to own a timeshare. The places we went to were nice and they were definitely better than a hotel. We didn’t own the timeshare for long but while owning it I was introduced to home/cottage rentals and I told myself that one

A Sketch and a Hop

Today is a special day because I get to use my blog to do something nice! I have a thing for old people, especially little sweet old men, they make me go “awwwwww” and reminds me of my own grandpa. but in general, lot of them just brings a smile to my face. A little squeeze on my arm, a little laugh, home made cookies, whatever… old folks gives me the warm and fuzzies. I especially love loving elderly couples. Ya know, those ones who still giggle at each others’ jokes or still walk hand-in-hand or have that look for
