Day One: Birthday Wishes

Kristina Werner is hosting a color challenge again and I had to play. When I saw the colors I thought they’d go perfect with WPlus9’s new stamp set: The Birds and the Bees. Super super CUTE with tons of possibilities and if you want to see more, hop on over to Dawn‘s blog and see what she’s done. Plus she has an awesome giveaway!! This is a long weekend for us. Actually for M it’s a week long break. It’s her mid-summer break. I’m not sure what to do with her for a week, it’s a new thing for me

2-in-1

A card for Kristina’s colors and Cuttlebug challenge. Yeah me {::SMILES}. I had fun making this. I had no clue what I was going to do with all the many colors but I did it! I LOVE the new SU animal set, love me these owls!!! Behind the owls there is twine going around the frame but I got carried away and ended up covering it. Oh well. But it’s not bad, I kind of like having bits of red poking out.The clouds and branch is Sassafrass (an owl set too) and using one more of Cloud’s flower (LOVE!!). Ok,

Finally a Card

Just a really quick post. I haven’t been doing a lot of crafty stuff. But today I really need the break. Had a rough night with the Jove. I don’t think she liked the onions that I ate. So no more raw onions for me. Darn. I love them on hamburgers!!! For this card I used Kristina’s colors: Gray, rust, mustard, and cream and Kazan’s sketch. The background paper is Cosmo and the stickers are Basic Grey. For the YOU I used my Klic-N-Kut. That thing’s been neglected. Ok, we’re off to visit some friends. More later!!

The Poo Story…

Before the story, here’s my card using Kristina’s colors for this week. Just something quick and simple. I need a few thank you cards to give to all sorts of people, from friends to the folks at the hospital. With baby I can’t spend an hour working on a card so here’s my simple creation from today: My poo story… I think there should be a note on every onsies: Take cautious when unbuttoning. Without much care, poo can literally propel from the buttons on to your face, clothes, arms, and wall. The poor husband. He’s been a great sport.

One More Week…

Almost!! Until my due date of June 4th. So far nothing exciting is happening in terms of labor. With my luck, just like M, she’ll show up on her due date. In the meantime, during my insomniac moment, I made the below… I used Kristina’s colors for this week: black, white, red, blue, and yellow. Oh, I’ve gotten a few emails on what envelope I use for my larger/super bulky cards and where I get them (most of my cards are 4.25×5.5″ but a lot of times I have stuff sticking out of them… like this ribbon). Well, I’d go

Back to Basic

Back to just plain-o stampin’ {::SMILES} using Kristina’s colors #52: baja, saffron, mustard, sand, and white. I used my Inkadinkado stamps and SU’s Congrats. For the dragonfly I adhere some Pixie Pixles by Pink Paislee (I have a pen glue by Martha Stewart so it’s easy to go around the edges of the dragonfly). Just something sweet and simple for a friend who just had a baby… and C-section. She had a boy and I thought I’d keep the card neutral with a dash of blue of mama and him. This is my second attempt. I’ll show you my first (and
