Blickling Hall

The headless ghost of Ann Boleyn anybody? Blickling Hall was one of the first place we visited when we went to Norfolk. Years ago the Boleyn family owned this estate (although it was a different house — the current house was built on top of the Boleyn’s home) but today it is owned by the National Trust. I don’t know how many NT properties we’ve visited but I have to tell you, if you’re like us, Americans in the UK, I highly recommend getting a pass. While anybody can purchase yearly passes via the National Trust, Americans can purchase theirs

Hello! That’s what “labas” is suppose to mean in Lithuanian. I learned this just yesterday when we accidentally walked into a Lithuanian restaurant called Labas in Thetford. I think it’s so new that I couldn’t, still can’t, find anything about it when I went Googling. You see, for the last few days we’ve been on a mini vacation. We found a bed and breakfast an hour and a half north of us and we’ve all been up there since Friday. I’ll share some of our adventures later but on our way back I wanted to check Thetford out. I heard

Back Again!

Hi all!!! After weeks of planning and a week of being away the whole family, dogs included, are now back in the UK. We had the most lovely lovely time in Normandy, France and was a bit sad to leave. Although I had my computer with me and the cottage we stayed at had Internet I tried my best to only be online when I needed to check on my students and to post a few pictures for families and friends on Facebook. The above was Honfleur. Such a beautiful town and we made a little note to ourselves to

Happy weekend everybody!! Here’s my first creation, using Waltzingmouse’s sketch and Sassy Season digital papers from in the Making Designs at Jessica Sprague, after almost two weeks! I’ll be busy creating again the next few days though cause I just got a few design team packages in the mail. YEAH! Tonight we’ll be watching some fireworks (celebrating UK’s Guy Fawkes day and fund raising for the local preschool) and then a bonfire at our friend’s house. We’ll be showing them what Americans do around a fire: Making and eating S’mores! Good times!! I also want to share more pictures of

King Arthur and the Tor

If you’re into magic, fairies, king arthur, magic water, psychics, self cleansing, knights in shining armour, etc. you might want to put Glastonbury on your list of places to visit or move into. At first the town seems like any other British town but once you get to looking you’ll see shops full of crystals and stones, small book shops full of spiritual books, clothing stores where you can walk out as Queen Guenevere, ¬†and a store that sells witch craft related items — I think I should have gone in to see if there’s a magic cleaning wand/spell!! Then
