Happy International Women’s Day to all you women reading this post! This year let us:
Celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievement of women. Yet let’s also be aware progress has slowed in many places across the world, so urgent action is needed to accelerate gender parity. Leaders across the world are pledging to take action as champions of gender parity. — Pledge for Parity
To all the women out there: Happy International Women’s Day! This year’s theme is pledge for parity. I feel so fortunate that was born (Indonesia) and then grew up in countries (Indonesia and US) that accept gender equality. I cannot imagine not getting the education I have received and given the opportunity to venture into any field. I am only one tiny person. I don’t have celebrity status to pull in a big crowd… Or a huge IG audience ?… But as a mother of two young girls I hope to help them achieve their ambitions in life and not let gender be in the way. #thisislondon #visitlondon #iwd2016
It’s super cold here and I am so so wishing for a very long and hot summer. I just can’t cope with feeling cold all the time despite having the heat cranked up high.
Just a little Instagram update… Instagram is now back to how it was before. Yay! While it could never be free of nasties, Instagram has been quicker at removing inappropriate contents. Well done, Instagram!! So parents, still be aware but in general, Instagram is back to being a happy place.
Which leads me to this… The last few weeks I’ve been active on it and now, My Instagram is not just for friends and family but for all. Via Instagram I want to share bits and pieces of our travels and lives that are too short to blog about or maybe I am out and about with the girls and Instagram is a bit more convenient to share our experiences. It’ll be good fun and it’ll be anything from pretty buildings, picturesque sceneries, the kids doing their things, and I’ll do my best to do great looking food. If nothing else all the ice cream Jovie eats along the way.
So for more on our adventures, follow us on Instagram with our next destination being: Pisa, Florence and Bologna! Yes we just visited Italy last year: Venice and Rome. But Italy’s quite big and there are gorgeousness and yummy gelato + coffee everywhere. I really miss the coffee and I heard so many fantastic thing about Florence and also Bologna being the capital for food lovers. Next time: Amalfi Coast although I am also wanting to visit Cinque Terre.
Ya know, I’ve always loved France but I think Italy is slowly creeping up towards my number one spot as a favorite country!
Until next time, ciao!!
