A Soupy Kind of Day

Deck the Hall

What’s the weather like in your part of the world? It’s been gloomy and wet here and today was no exception.

After gymnastics we went to the market in Bury St. Edmunds and had lunch at Zen Noodles. It was our first time and while our dishes were good, they weren’t fabulous. I do like the ambience. It felt light and modern with decent wait staff. Will we go again? I’m not sure. If friends want to go there then yes but on our own, maybe not. While I’m not a fan of the restaurant, not great ambiance, mediocre sushi and a service that always gave me heartburns, soups at Teri Aki in Cambridge is much better… or even Wagamama. Better yet, a clear soup at Thai Street Cafe in Newmarket for less than £6 for lunch. Oh, the fried rice was delicious. I’d go again for that at only £2.85!!

I think I am going to start making more soup dinners. Soup’s so comforting don’t you think?

Today I have a little Christmas card using a sketch by Waltzingmouse. LOVE this simple sketch and the big ornament. I used Stampin’ Up! in colors for the color theme. Do you see the texture too? A bit of PTI embossing template went through the paper. Subtle but I think the right touch.

I hope you had a wonderful Saturday! Until next time!!
