Birthday Planning

Birthday Wishes

So, got any game ideas for a 7-yr-old boy/girl party that’s low on supplies? We booked the room and it’s a nice size I think, not too big and not to small, and will have a little area for activities. We have a couple games and crafty things but that’s about it. I want a few more on hand in case the kids go through the activities fast. That’s why I want games that doesn’t require a lot of buying/hauling in case we don’t get to it.

Todays card is pretty unique I think. It’s based on Waltzingmouse’s sketch, #29. There’s a really cute candy treat bag by Lenet that I totally love. If M’s party wasn’t so big, just all girls, I’d make this for the party. LOVE!!!

My card’s pretty simple really, I die-cut the top with a Spellbinder die that matches the stamp set and adhered different pattern paper to the base. I did some distressing and inking on the edges too but it’s not so obvious in the photo.

See the stitching? Went for the smaller zig-zag. I kind of like it better than the bigger ones.

K, that’s it. I’ll be back on Monday with some more crafty goodness. As part of my attempt to balance my life better I’ve decided to quit blogging on Sundays unless I need to. Have a great weekend!!

  1. lovely….Is that navy ink on the die cut? I never work with navy but it is striking on the kraft…love the mix of pattern and of course your funky fiber action!

  2. I have recently gotten back into making cards and scrapbooking, etc. I would like to buy either a cricut, cuttlebug, or a spellbinder. I see you used it here. Do you have any suggestions for me??? Thanks, J

  3. Wow! I love how the colors look together. That’s a pretty stamp 🙂 and that fringe is cute.
What games are you planning on? I’ll wait for your post-party post to read about them and to see the pics 🙂
