Scarlet Lime Frugal Fab Oct'10

And the winner is….

Comment #14 Lisa in Texas! Lisa, email me your address and I’ll forward it to Christy at Scarlet Lime.

I hope, those who gets an extra day off, are having a great Columbus day long weekend. Hubby got today off and it’s been nice hanging out with him + Jovie and then M after she got off school. I have been trying to do some big time cleaning but so far I’ve only hit the kitchen and the living room. I did though get paint: Apple green for the kitchen, lemon yellow for the hallway and pink for the girl’s bedroom although I might do an exchange for a light yellow since that’s what M said this afternoon. They’re not custom paint so I can still exchange.

Page details

A page of the girls. This was taken 16 months ago. Jovie was just born and although I might just be partial, she was the most beautiful newborn I’ve ever seen. Remember this photo? Jovie after we got to our room soon after birth. She had the most perfect round head and the sweetest face.

Jovie

The photo bigger photo on this page if my favorite of the two. M’s just lovin’ here little sister and Jovie sleeping peacefully on her big sis. Life couldn’t have been anymore perfect that day!!

The last few days… or late nights… I’ve been scrapping and this is one of them. This is my first Scarlet Lime page as their design team member using the Frugal Fab kit. I LOVE this kit!! I’ve never purchase the Frugal Fab and now I wish I had because for $20 you do get a load of stuff!! I wouldn’t be able to go to Archivers, with $20, and get as much as what came in the kit. I’m not sure how Christy does it but the kit’s awesome! I thought I’d share this layout first since it’s this kit that’s being given away. If your name is not Lisa, you still have a chance to grab this kit at the Scarlet Lime store. Hurry up though because supplies are limited!!

I loved playing with the rub-ons that came with this kit. Usually I’m not a big fan of rub-ons but after this, I kind of regret not ordering some from American Craft a few weeks ago – I made a big order since the Pebbles team were given a generous discount by American Craft, which is the big sister company of Pebbles. But I’m loving the rub-ons because they’re kind of like stamps. I can rub them on directly to the base or I can rub them onto a white/tan paper and trim around it. Love it!!

See the little outfits hanging from mini clothespins? Rub-ons! I rubbed them onto white cardstock and just trimmed. In case your wondering the clothes are not adhered to anything. It’s just hanging loose on the pins. On the pins there are holes where the twine went through. Then I thread the twine onto the buttons and adhere these buttons.

Like those yellow tape looking frame? They’re not tapes. It’s just an American Craft ribbon, one of Dear Lizzy’s cardboard tape pack, and adhered it was two sided tape.

More rub-ons. Cute birdie, huh? The word “sister” was created using my so rarely used electric die-cut machine. I was chit-chatting with Clouds the other day and she showed me a page where there was a piece of embellishment created by her Slice machine. After that I thought: Need to use my machine! Hubby was there when I used my machine and he was surprised at how loud it was. I told him that the eCraft/Silhouette is not loud at all. I told him he can get one of those for me for Christmas. Ok, what I said is a lie, they all make noises (even if they claim to not) but I thought I’d give it a go in case he wants to buy me something big {::SMILES}. I just really want the print and cut feature.

Alrighty, it’s late here. The kids went to bed a bit ago and I’m now going to go and see what kind of mess I can make in my craft room. Laters!!
