Hmmm…

I really didn’t have any inkling on what to title my blog post for today. I guess I could have called it My Little Monster. This card’s for M. She was bratty last night. YES, she’s not 100% angelic! After gymnastics she didn’t want to eat dad’s homemade chicken noodle soup and she acted like she was falling asleep on the table. When hubby told her to get cleaned up, brush her teeth and go to bed she gave him the eye rolls. Ooooooh!!! TROUBLE! We did do some talking AND we did decide on some punishments: no movie watching tonight (this is HUGE. We have no TV subscription to began with and watching a movie one night on a weekday is a treat). IF she does it again, she’ll be grounded for more days (might include no crafting and challenges) AND she might not be allowed to go to gymnastics. She was upset over the possibilities and promised to be good. She even came up with a manner’s chart. If she’s good for the day she’ll get a sticker. After 10 stickers she can pick to either spend time with mommy or daddy (which usually means crafting/shopping with just mom or Dairy Queen with just dad).

The stamps IĀ  used were from the Recollections set. They’re available at Michaels. I’ve had them for months. Dunno, they looked cute but after I got them I haven’t felt monstery until now. Actually I have a lot of stamps I haven’t used or only used a sentiment or something little. Have you read/watched Confession of a Shopaholic? I can’t stand the book. I just wanted to reach in and slap her but the movie was entertaining. Anyhow, I feel like her minus the huge credit card debt. Sometimes I think the stamps are calling my name. Asking me to take them home. Do I need to go to shopaholic anonymous? Clothes and purses oh and shoes do that to me too. Right now I want a yellow purse. I saw this Dooney and Bourke one (perfect for diapers + camera + lens + camera insert + my junk) and oh, a JCrew jacket. But man, I can’t see spending that much on a jacket. But the jacket especially is begging me to take her home! Jacket + my fedora hat will look nice he he he…

Ok, card… here’s it is posing with M’s Ugly Dolls (they’re so adorably cute!). Have a nice one!

  1. Cute stuff!

Oh M! I’m sorry you had a rough night! Try hard to be a big girl so we can all keep playing with your challenges! :-)And make your Momma and Daddy proud! šŸ™‚

Sav… I’ll just get the jacket and hold it for you until you really need it. So fierce.

  2. Lol I can totally relate. Concerning the slapping-part as well as the shop-a-holic part. [Plus the debt though ^^] Nah I read the book plus the Shopaholic & Sister one and I thought they were a bit rubbish. Entertainment is okay but sometimes it was too stupid to be bearable… This weeks conference was also interesting, our institute was hosting an envoyee from the Brazilian embassy and there were some controversial questions, hee. Ah diplomacy, how much do I love thee… šŸ˜‰

  3. I can’t believe that about m…says the woman that has 2 kids…I love your monsta card…toooooo fun…I can’t go to Michael’s…I end up buying too much stuff…I think WE all have that problem…and btw, I’d soooooo get that coat…it’s an investment:)

  4. Way to go Mom, with a punishment! Believe me, it only gets worse, we have an 11 yr old and she has her mean days too! I saw those stamps at Michael’s and thought about buying them, but then decided to wait! But boy are they cute! šŸ™‚

  5. I think you do a good job disciplining. Will have to get advice from you in the future when I have my own kids šŸ™‚ Love the monster card that you made, though. It’s lovely…. the monster and the toy is so cute! šŸ™‚

I’m sure M will learn. A good disciplining & love will help her grow up well šŸ™‚

  6. oh my gosh, so cute Savitri. The monster is adorably cute, love the way you colored him in! Oh man, I LOVE LOVE LOVE JCrew, I go in that store every wk, lol. I am obsessed with their Vintage Cord Jeans šŸ˜€ Honestly, I’d buy the awesome jacket, hehe, you get what you pay for šŸ˜€

    Hugs

  7. What a CUTE card!! Love that little monster! Awwww, poor M! She’s SO cute and adorable, it’s hard to hear she’s not perfect! hee! hee! But the eye roll, aye yi yi! I’ve seen a couple of 2nd graders use it on each other and we’ve had some serious conversations about it! lol!

  8. Oh Savitri–M’s behavior is what we get on a good day! My son (5 in January) has such an attitude already…we need to crack down a bit more I guess. You card is so cute–I love adorable monsters!
