What A Day…

Happy Birthday Bird

Hi! I hope you all had a great day! I know I did!! Before I start, to those who sent me some good birthday wishes through the different social media that I’m on, thank you! I really appreciate it and I’m glad you all are in my life!

Today I spent with friends and of course my little family. We didn’t do anything extra ordinary but I had a lovely time celebrating my birth. It took me a few days to accept the fact that I’m older (it’s the same every time since I first turned 25 I think) but today I am not only older and as a few people wrote to me the other day… wiser {::SMILES}. The happiest part for me is knowing that I have accomplished everything I said I wanted and that I’m surrounded by wonderful people. There are two  big thing left… getting a Ph.D. and living in Europe but we’ll see how that goes with the Ph.D. and as of today we are still scheduled to move to the UK next year. I am truly blessed and everything else that falls on my lap is just a bonus — even the challenges I will welcome since it’ll just be something that will help me become a stronger and hopefully better person.

Here’s a little card and no it’s not a card from me to me but a card for one of Jovie’s daycare gals. Here’s the interesting part of this card… I had the stuff prepped yesterday but I got too tired to finish. Earlier today I was blurfing and I saw this card by Sarah. WOOOAH!!! I thought she peaked through my computer (or something) but later I found out that it’s me peaking through her computer since she made the card a few days ago. I was going to make almost the same thing. Ok, not quite exact but I did initially pull out that same color PTI ribbon. Today, I decided on the yellow SU ribbon and to move the happy birthday verse down and put a tree branch and bird on the top right instead of a sentiment. I also embossed using a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I just couldn’t do it… going with the original idea and making the two cards look more similar. I have to be different {::SMILES}.

Okie dokie, I’m off to bed. I’ll yack more later!!

Material: Stamp is by American Craft and pattern paper is My Little Shoe Box.
