Travelingmama Challenge #4

Hiya! Tina aka Travelingmama is now hosting a challenge, a travel/places inspiration one, and for this week the picture she decided to use was one that I submitted, challenge #4. Fun!!! This was a picture that I took during our trip to Germany fall of 2007. This was our last stop before heading back to the U.S. (saaaaaaaaaaaad). The town we were in is called Rothenburg ob der Tauber and it’s on the Romantische Strasse aka the Romantic Road. I believe this town is the biggest preserved midevil town. Very touristy but gorgeous!

For this challenge, I decided to make the card below.

I used the colors from the picture to create my card and somewhat used the picture as a sketch. See the blue door and my little blue piece of card stock? The red ribbon’s inspired by the ribbon on the door and you see the pink speckles on the bottom right? If you look at the picture there seemed to have been flower petals on the ground. That’s what I did on my card too. For the speckles I used the stamp from the Branch Out set. I should have added some texture but forgot.

Ok, have a GREEEEAAAAAT weekend! Hope the picture inspires you too!! I can’t wait to take more European pics. There are tons to see in the U.S. but there’s something about Europe that makes it oh so photogenic and I am so so looking forward to our time there!

Nothing new here at the Wilder fort. Just relaxing and I think I’m getting a hang of staying at home (waking up at 10 a.m. every day) getting house chores done while taking care of the kids. Ok, I’m far from perfect (did I tell you I’m the lousiest house keeper according to my husband?) but I do try.

Today I got a card done based on Travelingmama’s challenge for this week. Quite tan with a bit of blue. I wish I had a dandelion stamp but the stamp from SU’s Garden Silhoutte was close enough.

Ok, off to tidying up more while M watches Shark Tale. Jovie’s been a good girl the last few days. Sleeping, being alert and quiet, and all that fun going on 6-weeks stuff. Laters!!
