So Sketchy

Bookworm scrapbook page Here’s my first So Sketchy page. Check out the So Sketchy site and see what the rest of the team did. They’re all super, super, awesome!!

For this page I used Sassfrass Lass’s paper and Thickers from American Craft plus alphabet stickers from Making Memories. It’s quite a simple page, nothing overly complicated that is, to do.

This was M when she was less than a year old. She’s always LOVED to read. We’ve read since I was pregnant with her and now we can’t go to bed without reading a bedtime story. I do all sorts of voices too for the different characters and she loves that. What’s interesting is that she has no favorite book. She loves them all which I think is great but still, I thought every kid has a favorite book. I can’t remember what mine was, my mom wasn’t very good at keeping track of those things. When I got older though, I loved Nancy Drew, Encyclopedia Brown, Judy Blume series and Enid Blyton books.

So go check So Sketchy out, play along, and get some pages done!!!

So SketchyHey everybody, hope those in the U.S. like myself had a nice 4th of July weekend!!!

I have an announcement and I promise this is THE last one for a while! I have been accepted as one of So Sketchy’s team. I am soooo excited!!! Ally, my new blogging friend, is the one who started it. She’s from up north aka Canada and super talented in scrapbooking and card making. She’s a DT for many companies and her sketches are so inspiring. Since many of you who visits my blog are card makers, you might recognize Alli Miles. She’s one of So Sketchy’s card designers! Check So Sketchy out and play along. I think you all will have a great time AND get some cards and/or pages done. I’ll be sharing some traditional, digital, and hybrid pages using the sketches.

VBS: Avalanche Ranch This weekend was just party time for us. Friday we had some friends over and Saturday we were invited to our good friend’s son’s birthday. He’s turned one the end of last month and yesterday was his 3rd celebration. What a lucky man! {::SMILES} Actually, he was one lucky little guy, being born at 27/28 weeks… I can’t remember now… and doing so well. I am so amazed with the medical technology nowadays and it’s always improving.

This is a page that I did a few weeks back for Vacation Bible School. I took pictures of the decor and scrapped it. I used all sorts of items from Manu, Weeds and Wildflowers, the Collab kit at Scrapbook Graphics, and Annnie Manning. See, that’s why I hate using digi stuff from different designers. I’m so bad and crediting each individual item!

No special technique, just a lot of layering. Alright… we’re going to eat. Hungry, hungry. I’ll share more later!
