Nature & Big News

Posted on | November 20, 2008 | 21 Comments

Nature Here’s a digi page. I made this a while back but forgot I did it until today when I was browsing through my files. I used Kasia’s kit from the Shabby Pickle Design. Really fun kit. She’s one of my favorite digi designers right now.

And here’s the big news… today, we all heard little swishes at the doc’s office. So yup, I am 12 weeks pregnant. It’ll be a June 3rd-ish baby. M’s going to be a big sister and she’s super super excited. She’s been really good at keeping this a secret since mid Oct. We’re very proud of her!

So, I think this little dude (M doesn’t want a sister so for now, we’re calling it “he”) is sucking the living creative juices out of me. I have not been feeling motivated! I have been making stuff but instead of 30 minutes for example, it’ll be hours… on a weekend sometimes the whole day.

Anyhow, I just want to share the news. Hope you all have a great one!!

Fall is in the Air

Fall 2007 The leaves are changing. YEAH!!!! I can’t wait to take some nice fall pics of the family. Last year we had some professional photos done but this year it’ll just be me as ms. photographer. It’ll be fun! I’m going to take pics of my friend’s kids too some weekend. I love taking pics of little ones and I am quite excited. My first amateur gig… unpaid of course {::SMILES}.

I used a collab kit from Shabby Pickles: Shades of Autumn. I love this store. SOOO many awesome designers!! You should check them out!! After doing more digi work and buying other people’s stuff (before this year I just make my own stuff) I am starting to know who is who and just sticking to those ones I love. The real and cutesy stuff is what I like now… oh and bright colors!!

Those in the U.S., is the economy depressing you? It depresses me. We both have great jobs but it’s still so scary and also so sad for those who are struggling right now. If you’re one of them, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Hopefully it’ll be better soon. I haven’t read on what happened to the bailout deal which I think is suppose to be voted on today. Hopefully it’s decent.

Are you into the coming election? I hope so! If you haven’t registered to vote, go do it. You still have time! I am looking forward to the debate tomorrow (watching it online). Last week’s was a bit dull and I think both were even. I think I’ve made up my mind but we’ll see after tomorrow.

I am making a card tonight. I think I feel some mojo coming {::SMILES}.

Pencil Line Sketch #89

Posted on | June 15, 2008 | 2 Comments

Pencil Line #89 Hope everybody had a great Father’s Day weekend! Ours was nice. Relaxing and we didn’t do anything but hung out and on my part, scrapbooked {::SMILES}. I made six digital pages and a page since Friday, the first one being the one I showed you Saturday. I am sooooooo itching to get my hand n some real paper and also do some hybrid from the stuff that I’ve downloaded over the weekend but can’t… we have guests. It’d be so nice when the basement is all done, I can do crafts even when there’s somebody in the guest room.

Here’s one of the page that I did. An M page. I used a kit from Kasia at Shabby Pickle Designs: Blowing Dandelions. Gorgeous kit! I also mixed it up a bit with her For Him For Her kit that came free with my first Dandelions purchase… the special for the weekend. It was sweet! I love the colors in this kit and right now, I am so into bright colors.

The picture (and many more which I will gradually scrapbook too) was taken at a winery May 30th. I put June on the page initially, changed it, but never resaved the newer version. She was just messing around and quite happy that day but I just love this pouty look that she had.

Here’s an M story: In my yesterday’s card I used SU’s dots for a background. If you know this thing, this stamp is a big chunky stamp, maybe 5×6. I could not find it this morning when I was trying to put things away. Then when I was getting Emma ready for bed, I saw it on her art table. I asked her why it’s there and she said, “It flew in here from your room, mommy.” HA! Creative liar, huh?

Well, have a great week everybody. More later!!
