Thinking of You

Hiya, I was going to post this yesterday but my Internet was broken and I was too tired to go downstairs and investigate and so here it is… Just a little hybrid card
The papers are from Danielle Engebretson A Grand New Day:
And a little strip from Sugarplum Paperie, Tiny Princess:
As you can see there are tons of pretty paper in a set. I just printed these two on one piece of paper. This is one thing I love about hybrid. I can print as much as I want or use up everything I print without feeling like I need to hoard it because I can print more! The sentiment, cardstock, and ribbon is PTI and the butterfly is inkadinkado.
Ok, hope your day will be nice. M and I are going for a hair trim this evening. I moved office buildings yesterday. I am in the huge campus library sharing a huge office with my supervisor. It’s nice when you’re friends with your super, making sharing rooms a pleasant thing. Now we don’t have to IM each other (we did this all the time even though our offices were next to each other). Drove hubby nuts! But we’d have to be quiet. We’ve been shh’d a few times in the other building because a test was going on the the lab behind my wall — thin walls! We love to laugh and giggle ha ha ha…

I’ve been wanting to do a CardPatterns’ challenge in a while but 15 sketches later I finally have the opportunity. Again I used the same stamps from Inkadinkado. I promise this is the last one for a little while. Due to my inability to move around much (just HURTS!) I’ve only been making projects using whatever’s within arm’s reach. Next time I’ll grab a different stamp set from the closet before I plop myself down {::SMILES}.
Today I feel so much better. I hope it stays until I pop the baby out or at least until Sunday. I have a wedding to go to Saturday in the city and we’re also going out to lunch for hubby’s bday — our favorite SUSHI!! The bad wife me… I still have NO gift!!! I have no idea what to give him… he hasn’t had any wants lately (he only wants baby to hurry up and come out so that I won’t be in so much pain) and he’s got enough car parts to last him a while (for Jane, the ’62 Impala) – plus he’s as picky with his car stuff as I am with my crafty goodness. A GC is the only thing I can think of. This way he can buy himself THE perfect tool or something. We’ll see. He’s been SOOOO awesome, even cooked all week, and I do want something special. Ahhh….
Have a great Thursday! The weekend is ALMOST here!!!

Back to just plain-o stampin’ {::SMILES} using Kristina’s colors #52: baja, saffron, mustard, sand, and white. I used my Inkadinkado stamps and SU’s Congrats. For the dragonfly I adhere some Pixie Pixles by Pink Paislee (I have a pen glue by Martha Stewart so it’s easy to go around the edges of the dragonfly). Just something sweet and simple for a friend who just had a baby… and C-section. She had a boy and I thought I’d keep the card neutral with a dash of blue of mama and him. This is my second attempt. I’ll show you my first (and improvised) attempt on my next post.
I have two more weeks, yeah! Yesterday I got myself a treat… a handicap pass! Yes, much needed!!! The folks at work are redoing the parking lot across the street from my office and so I have to park a bit away and on bad days it’s soooooooo painful. Just like today. So for the next two weeks I can park right outside my building door. It’s really nice since right now I feel like somebody kicked me on the crotch and then crushed my bones to little pieces. I have good days and bad days. Today’s one of them bad days.
Ok, hope your day’s a lot less painful than mine. More later!

M’s been waiting for this day!!! This week 2Sketches4You and Sakura America (this week’s sponsor) has a fun challenge for you AND your little ones (child, young cousins, niece/nephew, grandkids, etc. — any child under 18 basically). Like you the little ones are welcome to use the sketch but if they want to do their own thing, let them!! It’s so much fun. M had a really good time and did everything herself. The first is her card and she used the sketch. She said that she has the big rectangle in the bottom, the center sentiment and the top square is the ribbon. So go to 2S4Y and check out the details on the challenge AND prizes!!!!
I never ask for you to leave a comment for any of my work but pretty please please leave some love for M and I will read and every one of them to her. She’s been wanting me to share this card with my “imaginary” friends for days and the day is finally here.
Material:
M’s card: Martha Stewart ribbon, PaperTrey Ink stamp, craft glitter glue and the flower is from the $1 rack at Jo-Ann’s.
Savitri’s card: Inkadinkado stamp, frames unknown, Cuttlebug folder, Martha Stewart pen glue and glitters, the DigiChick digital/hybrid stripe paper, Making Memories chipboard, ribbons and lace from Jo-Ann’s, button from stash, Raspberry Frizz from PaperTrey and the rest is SU.
Have a great one!!!
Scrappy Time

Hey hey, I got some scrap pages done this weekend AND some sleep! I feel so much better!!! Here’s one of M when she was just a few days old. You mommies out there, remember the first few days of your first born? We didn’t know exactly where her off button was. We did get better!! I hope I can remember all the tricks and the 2nd time around will not be as tough.
For this page I used a pretty Creative Imagination and Making Memories pattern paper, the Inkadinkado stamps I just got last Monday (love the huge butterfly!!!), SU birdie chipboard, and American Craft frame, alpha, and flower. It’s really a simple page, not a lot of technique or layers. The hardest part was trimming the bird. I had to use scissors and knife and took forever it seemed.
Hope you’re enjoying your weekend!!!
