M wanted to do the 2s4y and Dawn’s color challenge too. So here’s her take on it. I tied the ribbon but everything came from her little head and hands.
She said: Thanks for looking, ladies!
Some Color Challenge!

Goodness, Dawn, some colors you got here!!! It was hard!!!!! But I managed something {::SMILES}. I almost forgot I have this SU butterfly template. I love it, so big!!! I’m liking my Martha Stewart punch better too. It sucks that it can’t punch thicker paper, like PTI white paper but when it can, it’s fun. The one I’m still fighting with is the Fiskar punch. I literally have to use all my weight to use it and the result looks crappy looking. Did I get a bad one? Oh, I also used 2sketches4you sketch by Laura for this card. Lovely versatile sketch!!
Nothing new here. It’s now one more week until I go back to work and school starts for M and I. I have one online course that I’m teaching and I’m also taking a photography class. I love working at a university, you get to take college courses for free. M… she’s not super excited about kindergarten. I think she’s kind of nervous. I hope I won’t have to ask her teacher to hold her down while I run for the door. I might have hubby drop her off, she’s not as attached to him as she is to me. We’ll see.
Here’s what we had for breakfast. I’m getting better at it:
I have a few people that I hope to visit this week. One is an old college friend from Idaho and another one is a blog friend who lives in Kansas City. Yes, I’m trying to get over my fear of meeting new people {::SMILES}. Then I have Jovie’s 2 months appt. which includes her first set of vaccines. Poor girl! Have a great day and hope to post more soon!!
Sleep Deprived Card

I should have napped yesterday but didn’t get a chance to. Today I’m still tired but oh well, I give up trying. So, while I was putting Jovie to sleep I got this done. Card making while holding a baby have been an experience he he… I didn’t want to use the carrier because Jovie always wakes up when she’s out of it. She loves that thing too much!
This is a card using Dawn McVey’s colors: red, berry, moss, and white. Can you see the PTI polka dots on the green? Also the beads in the center of the flower? I used fabric glue to adhere the beads to the paper. Too lazy to sew them on, ha!
Okie, have a great one and more when I get a chance! I’m working part-time from home and so crafty time is getting scarce for me. Plus lately I’ve been feeling more like shopping (or for me product research… which can take forever… I am such a maximizer!!). Do you gals feel like that sometimes? I’m eyeing this printer: Selphy ES30 (which was demo’d at the crop Friday. The printouts I got was nice, couldn’t tell between that and WalGreens). Wouldn’t that be fun to bring to crops or to have around the house? What got me is the fact that it can print 1, 2, 4, or 8 photos on one 4x6 paper and it uses a dye sublimation print method than the regular ink jet which gives you a more professional looking prints (more continuous tones). There are other brands that does dye but nothing as cute as the Canon and they’re a bit higher in hardware and paper+ink. Because of the dye method, the ink and paper comes in one package. You can only print as many as what’s in the package. So, can you imagine the fun scrapbook layouts I can do? There is a $49 version, the CP760 but the ES is more portable (the 760 looks smaller but by the time you have the cables and paper port on it does take some space) and I like how the paper and ink is in one location. There is one down side… the machine crops too much and so if your head is close to the edge of the photo, expect to loose a big chunk of the forehead or even eyes. This might be an issue for me because I tend to take close-ups but I have Photoshop and so it shouldn’t be a problem for me. But for those who prints right of a card/camera, it’s something to remember. To see how it operates, check this out:
For a project overview and longer demo of the machine see this:
Ahh, something useful or just more crap that will collect dust? It looks so so fun though, huh?
