It’s been REALLY nice this whole week in terms of weather and I think yesterday it was over 80 degrees. For the UK, THAT’s a heat wave!! While M’s hoping for cooler weather, I wouldn’t mind a few more days of sunshine.

I have today a simple card using WPlus9‘s Winter Wishes and Christmas Wishes. I still went with the simple theme just because we all know that often times we don’t have that much time to sit and create 50+ elaborate cards. I did add a bit of ribbon to give the card a bit of dimension. It’s not mail friendly but quite nice for a neighbor or local friends that you’ll hand deliver the card to (or stick in a box with gifties).

WPlus9 Day 3: Vintage

Halloween’s not even here yet but I have to admit, I have already been thinking about Christmas. I’ve been looking at some cool wooden toys for Jovie and pondering which art supplies to get M – that’s what she said she wants. I need to figure out what and where to get things (buying stuff from the US can take 1-6 weeks delivery time) and make sure packages going to families in the US get shipped on time (before Thanksgiving is the due date I think for regular mail).

To help my gift buying easier I created this little Christmas list for Miss M to fill out. Using WPlus9′s new Dear Santa and last month’s Handwriting Samples I created this simple little list sheet. I also used WPlus9′s die to create an open envelope for her list to reside in. This way she not only have something functional but also cute. Now, which 7-yrs-old not want a cute list?

WPlus9 Day 2: CAS Layers

It’ll be another glorious day here in our little part of the UK and the girls and I will be playing at a large garden today. I probably should stay home and clean but like I told the hubby, it’s not everyday you get 70+ degree temperature here in the UK, even in the summer!

I have here another little card using WPlus9′s October release: Winter Wishes and Christmas Wishes. And for this card I kept it CAS still while adding a bit of layers. To give the card more texture I embossed the white card stock and for added dimension I added a ribbon. Obviously this will not be my mail in card since it’s a bit bulky. But, I have a few local friends that I want to give cards to this holiday season. Looking forward to that IF I remember to deliver them in on time.

There’s a day for everything it seems. I don’t keep up with them all but I like the ones that are earth, kids and animal friendly. I also like the crafty ones, like today: World Card Making Day. Now, I haven’t looked but I wonder if there’s something on Wikipedia that keeps track of all these days…

Today I won’t be participating much, I have places to be and things to do, but later tonight I hope to make a few cards for different occasions. Plus I feel like I celebrated a day early by inviting a few ladies over and creating a few cards yesterday. Before I go I want to share this little tag with you. I used Waltzingmouse’s sketch to help me put this together. I LOVE all the stamps I used on this tag. I made this while I was chit-chatting with my friends and made the whole creating so much more fun! I really need to do the card making day more often!!

Happy Saturday!!

It’s another month, eeeeeek, OCTOBER (eeeeek, I’ll be 25 – again – very soon)!! And WPlus has a few new Christmas sets coming your way.

Stamps keep going up and every Christmas I spend extra on postage due to my bulky cards. This year I plan on making and sending flatter cards so to save a bit here and there. When I saw WPlus9′s new Christmas sets I found all sorts of different ways to make clean, simple and almost one layer cards. Today I want to share one that was created using Winter Wishes and a fun border set. LOVE the cute little gloves and the sentiments are just the perfect size!
