Waiting

23 Nov 2008 In: Scrapbook

Waiting How’s your weekend? Mine’s been nice. I even made it church and signed up, again, to help out at the St. Nick’s workshop (where kids 3-8 make crafty gifts for their loved ones) and signed M up too to make some goodies. She had a lot of fun last year!

Before I go on, I want to let you know that I will post a few baby news here and there here but I’ve started another blog just for our upcoming new addition. I’ll post products, parenting info and more… whatever I find that I can share and also as a pregnancy journal (since I’m horrible with a paper one).

This week… We were going to be gone this week, to Mississippi, but no. Work takes over sometimes and so we’re staying. It doesn’t bother me either way, but I am looking forward to cooking us a (small) dinner and putting Christmas stuff up. I have lots of great intentions for M and I in terms of crafty (not just paper craft) goodness but we’ll see. I have a few gifts I want to make for a few special friends and family. It’s kind of nice that I only have two relatives in the U.S. and my parents don’t celebrate Christmas and Christmas in Indonesia isn’t quite bombarded with gifts like it is here.

This Christmas I want to try and do more handmade goods. I’m hoping they’ll all be by me but if not, Etsy will help me {::SMILES}.

This page was created using a sketch by SoSketchy. M and Shady were fighting over the right corner spot, the best (closest is best to them) spot to look at dad who was working outside. They both were waiting for him to come in. Look how rough M was to Shady and Shady did move for her. Ahh… naughty M.

Alright, have a great week and I’ll post more later!!

Happy Weekend!

22 Nov 2008 In: Scrapbook

Lincoln Logs First of all thank you so much for the congrats!! We are very very excited and cannot wait to meet the little person. A few have asked me if we’re going to find out about the gender. Well, we’re thinking about it. This is our plan for now… since our insurance doesn’t pay for ultrasounds (the military’s funny, they pay 100% but no ultrasound unless it’s medically needed), we’re going to do the 3D one at 20 weeks-ish and just take a peak and have the person put the info in an envelope. Then, we’re either going to make it to the end and it’ll be a surprise or we’re going to be too crazy not knowing and we’ll rip the envelope open before the child is born. My guess is that the later will happen. My wonderful husband cannot stand waiting for Christmas. It’ll be amazing if he can wait 20 weeks, or less, to find out when the answer is right under his nose.

Both kids, the M and the (big kid) husband, wants a boy. I wouldn’t mind another girl. So, when I blog I’ll be calling it she and at home, it’ll be a he. Either way will be great, I just have a little thing for girls.

Ok, so here’s a page that I did using my Studio Calico stash. Not sure what month this kit was from. The title I did with my KnK. I love wallet size photos when I scrapbook. I think you’ll see more of them. I’ll be printing out more in a bit here.

Have a great weekend! I plan on crafting sometimes this weekend!! Hopefully the little person left me some creativity juice. She really is sucking the life of of me… I am getting Alzheimer too. I keep repeating myself, urgh!

Nature & Big News

20 Nov 2008 In: DigiScrap

Nature Here’s a digi page. I made this a while back but forgot I did it until today when I was browsing through my files. I used Kasia’s kit from the Shabby Pickle Design. Really fun kit. She’s one of my favorite digi designers right now.

And here’s the big news… today, we all heard little swishes at the doc’s office. So yup, I am 12 weeks pregnant. It’ll be a June 3rd-ish baby. M’s going to be a big sister and she’s super super excited. She’s been really good at keeping this a secret since mid Oct. We’re very proud of her!

So, I think this little dude (M doesn’t want a sister so for now, we’re calling it “he”) is sucking the living creative juices out of me. I have not been feeling motivated! I have been making stuff but instead of 30 minutes for example, it’ll be hours… on a weekend sometimes the whole day.

Anyhow, I just want to share the news. Hope you all have a great one!!

Color Challenge #31

19 Nov 2008 In: Stampin Up

For You Ok, hard colors for me, Kristina. I think I got stuck on the purple and orange just because those were the colors two weeks ago and I kept wanting to use a similar design. But, I got to this so quite happy about getting myself out of that box. Also, I think I was distracted too… I did this while watching Grease {::SMILES}.

Another simple card and I did a tiny bit of sewing. Everything is SU except for the KI apple. I added some paper piercing too and did you notice something? NO ribbon!!!! WOAH!!!!

I’ll make this post short and sweet. I need to get to work. TTFN!

Gift Tag

18 Nov 2008 In: Hybrid

Tag I am starting to make little Christmas gift tags. This is my first, for Miss M {::SMILES}. I mean, she’ll be more excited about a fancy gift tag than dad, tee hee…

For this tag I used another product from TDC’s Amy Sumrall. The kit is called A Lil Shabby… thus the somewhat shabby chic look of this tag. From the kit, I used a little bit of the pattern paper and also the flower. I’m not sure if you can it, but I did add some scoring to the bottom with my Scor-It.

It’s Taco Tuesday today. There’s this bar downtown that has $.50 tacos on Tuesdays and my friend and I would usually go. The taco’s ok, it’s mostly for the chit-chat. It’s really nice when there’s nobody sitting next to you smoking. I don’t smoke and very sensitive to it really sucks when that happens. A few years ago, M was a baby, we went to a family restaurant and we were at the end of a smoking section on the none side. That was terrible, I started gagging like crazy and the hostess moved us right away.

Hope you have a great day today! More later…
