Just had a Filipino Lumpia and wonton noodle soup. YUM!!!! Once again I am craving for sushi. Me want raw fishy {::SMILES}. I can go for Dim Sum too. My food craving is better though. I got over the junk food funk.

I was more awake at work today too. Yeah! Made it through the day without nodding off.

Here’s a little Valentine-ish card. The stamp set is old, retired SU stamps, which I rarely use. Yesterday I bought some Martha Stewart sparkles and glue pen. I used the glue pen around the heart and sprinkled sparkles. It didn’t take long to dry. I likey. The only thing was I pushed the glue pen too hard and so the sparkly border line is thick but I can live with it. I’ll try again next time.

Well, that’s that. Like I said, I have very little to say at this time.
A card, CASE’d from one of Julie’s card using one of my Unity Stamp Co. stamp (that I FINALLY used). If you don’t know Julie, REALLY?!?!?! She’s awesome and EVERYBODY who stamps should know her. Check her out!!! She’s popped into my blog a couple of times and each time I feel giddy… kind of like seeing your favorite star {::SMILES}.

Anyhow, I don’t CASE much so I hope I got it right. I changed the birdie with uhm… I think a leopard or something. I think it’s cute and that’s all that matters to me. I am selfish when it comes to what goes on my card… as long as I like it then it stays, ha!

I did better at work today. I was awake most of the time and did a lot of stuff. I have a 2D ultrasound appt. scheduled too for this Saturday at 1:30 p.m. (got lucky with the schedule… just called today) WOW! We’re going to take a peak to find out if it’s a boy or a girl. BUT, we’re not going to have the tech/nurse tell us then. We want her to put it in an envelope. We plan on going to a nice dinner and finding out then. It seems more personal, don’t you think? M is uberly excited. She CANNOT wait she said. We’re excited too. We were going to make it a surprise but the husband can’t wait and with the economy the way it is, it seems wise if we plan early — while we both have jobs if you know what I mean. Scary scary out there!!!

She’s going to be five next month and this is her party invitation (most parents plans for months… I just got to it… bad mama). These are the colors she chose (I added the craft) and she wanted the butterflies. She loves the Martha punch as much as I do. I promise after this I will use this punch sparingly {::SMILES}.

Too serious of a card for a 5-year-old? She actually hasn’t seen the card. I couldn’t think of anything else to make. Her party actually has a Chinese theme to it (January 29th is Chinese New Year) but I have nothing Chinese and I didn’t feel like doing a digi card. There are flowers and butterflies in China too — trying to justify my creation here — back me up ppl {::SMEARK}! I think the butterflies will make it somewhat fun for the kids. It didn’t take long, just a bunch of papers stacked on top of each other. I think it took me 10 minutes to make this card.

Well, today was my first day at work. After sleeping in all through my break I had a really hard time staying awake after 2 p.m. I did find something interesting to do though and by the time I looked up it was 4:30 p.m. Wuih!!! I got a bit of coffee too and I think that helped. The babe was kicking around a bit after - caffeine high, ha! Speaking of, I’ve been feeling this little person since I was 14-weeks. I read that you feel it sooner after your first time. It was weird but nice at the same time. I’ll be 20-weeks next week!!! Wow, time flies! But I still have little to show. My co-workers were a bit surprised. I am too actually. Hope the kid’s normal!!! My measurements were fine though. I think I didn’t blow up until 19/20 weeks too with M. I remember us being surprised. We woke up one day and voila… hello belly!!! I really can’t remember though and I didn’t keep track (I was and am bad at the belly shot thing).

Okie dokie… time to get some sleepy eyes. I am sleeping with M tonight. Hubby’s got strep throat. Been sleeping with M since Sat. night and will continue ’til the end of the week. Just in case.

I can use it on anything. The card I made the other day and this layout. I try not to use the punch too much but sometimes I can’t help it {::SMILE}. This picture was taken while we were waiting for the hospital to discharge us after M was born. We were soooo happy. We were going home as a little family!

My date yesterday was so nice, we went to Lexington, MO. Very relaxing while at the same time M’s super happy to be at school, meeting her friends and doing all sorts of activities. She was pooped when she came home and just wanted to cuddle and relax. We hung out a bookstore and I got Three Cups of Tea. What an awesome awesome book!!! I couldn’t put it down and got done reading it at 5 a.m. (within 12 hrs!). Today I’m kind of sleepy but the book is worth it. I highly recommend it and it’ll give you a glimpse of the people (men, women, and children) in Pakistan and Afghanistan and the Muslim religion. Because of the terrorist/extrimist many people have a negative view of the Muslim religion and this book brings out the kindness and the gentleness of this religion and like I said, the people there in general. Through education Mortensen is trying to bring peace. Again, highly recommend. It’s insightful and entertaining.

We didn’t buy a lot of antiques even though there was this oh so lovely roll top desk from the ’20s that had my name all over it. At $875 it wasn’t bad but I couldn’t spend that much money and then still moving around (we’re hoping in the next few years) with the air force. Instead I got a wooden card box. You can put 450 cards in there. I wasn’t sure what kind of cards but I will use it for photos. I’ll take pics of the box sometimes, it’s hard to explain.

I did though get some nice pics of my date {::SMILES}. He hates it when I do this but he tolerated me yesterday while we were waiting for our food at the Victorian Peddler Tea Room (although the first picture he had to make a face). Our food was yummy! We’ve been trying to eat at this restaurant each time we visit Lexington but they’re only open from 11-2 for lunch. We finally did and it was as good as people say. Have a great day and weekend!!!

How was your night? We did the boring new years eve deal… go to bed {::SMILES}. Nice, relaxing and did some more tile work today. TIRED!!!

Tomorrow we’re sending M off to school and us adults are going to go antiquing and hopefully catch a nice lunch. It’d be great just to go out without the child. If you’re parents you know what I mean. M’s super sweet but she does do the, “Are you done?” or “Can we go home now?” when we go antiquing. Can’t blame her, right? Kind of boring for a 4-yr-old.

Anyhow. It’ll be a short post. I’ll write more later. I’ve been a lazy crafter and blogger since my break. I found that it’s just nice to lounge around, read, or just hang out with the family. I thought I’d be crafting like crazy but nope.

Have a great evening and wishing you a lovely lovely new year!!!
