Here’s a digi page. I made this a while back but forgot I did it until today when I was browsing through my files. I used Kasia’s kit from the Shabby Pickle Design. Really fun kit. She’s one of my favorite digi designers right now.

And here’s the big news… today, we all heard little swishes at the doc’s office. So yup, I am 12 weeks pregnant. It’ll be a June 3rd-ish baby. M’s going to be a big sister and she’s super super excited. She’s been really good at keeping this a secret since mid Oct. We’re very proud of her!

So, I think this little dude (M doesn’t want a sister so for now, we’re calling it “he”) is sucking the living creative juices out of me. I have not been feeling motivated! I have been making stuff but instead of 30 minutes for example, it’ll be hours… on a weekend sometimes the whole day.

Anyhow, I just want to share the news. Hope you all have a great one!!

Ok, hard colors for me, Kristina. I think I got stuck on the purple and orange just because those were the colors two weeks ago and I kept wanting to use a similar design. But, I got to this so quite happy about getting myself out of that box. Also, I think I was distracted too… I did this while watching Grease {::SMILES}.

Another simple card and I did a tiny bit of sewing. Everything is SU except for the KI apple. I added some paper piercing too and did you notice something? NO ribbon!!!! WOAH!!!!

I am starting to make little Christmas gift tags. This is my first, for Miss M {::SMILES}. I mean, she’ll be more excited about a fancy gift tag than dad, tee hee…

For this tag I used another product from TDC’s Amy Sumrall. The kit is called A Lil Shabby… thus the somewhat shabby chic look of this tag. From the kit, I used a little bit of the pattern paper and also the flower. I’m not sure if you can it, but I did add some scoring to the bottom with my Scor-It.

It’s Taco Tuesday today. There’s this bar downtown that has $.50 tacos on Tuesdays and my friend and I would usually go. The taco’s ok, it’s mostly for the chit-chat. It’s really nice when there’s nobody sitting next to you smoking. I don’t smoke and very sensitive to it really sucks when that happens. A few years ago, M was a baby, we went to a family restaurant and we were at the end of a smoking section on the none side. That was terrible, I started gagging like crazy and the hostess moved us right away.

So, how was your weekend? Mine was nice, lots of lounging and whiffing a lot of paint smell Sunday. Hubby rented a professional spray painter and painted the basement white. Colors coming as soon as we feel motivated {::SMILES}. M and I spent most of our time on the second floor… the main floor was still smelly even with the basement door closed. Hubby did A LOT of work and he did a great job too.

So, since us girls were in the craft room avoiding the smell, I had to make a few things and this was one of them. This is a hybrid card. I printed out the pattern paper and trees from a kit by Cinnamon Designs at the DigiChick. This Christmas kit is so much fun! I had a hard time picking which paper I wanted to printed out!

To give the card more visual effects, I added some paper piercing and scoring with my Scor-It. I also added dimensionals under the tan pattern paper and the trees with the middle tree higher than the other two trees. Now, you can’t see any stamped/written sentiments but the creamy pattern paper actually has all sorts of different Christmas verse on it. Didn’t want to overload it, ya know {::SMILE}.

No crafty goodness to share today, just some photos.

This is M and my sister. So far I only have this one photo to share. Emma was super adorable that day, she made an awesome flower girl. We were all so proud of her!

The wedding was nice but honestly, I thought we wouldn’t make it to the location. Traffic was HORRIBLE and even though we did get to the location in time for the wedding, we were all, the bride and groom included, too late for before pictures… when the sun was still up. So the photographer did what she could but my sister ended up with less photos than what they could have gotten.

Then, after the lovely picture, SOMEBODY had to take a picture of me pigging out on crawfish. Just FYI, this was round one. I went back three more times! The saddest part, this was a sushi restaurant… a buffet to be more exact so I did get myself a pile of raw fish (a few slices of fish, some rolls, and nigiri) but after I saw and ate the big juicy crawfish, I only wanted more of these mud bugs.

Speaking of food… culture night, the dinner we went to, was really good. Very much worth the $5/ea (M’s was free) ticket. Every year the international students would cook for the community and every year we always hit the line where the Middle Eastern/Saudi kids serve (the event usually have four lines with each line serving different dishes). Hubby and I LOVE their food. We haven’t had anything horrible from these kids. The Indian line was good too and between the two, our plates were full and of course, I ate everything but a big potato… I’m not sure how it got there. M ate most everything too, she’s been trained. She has her picky moments but she’ll at least try if you ask.

The shopping day was short but productive. My itchy pup seem to like his new food (Orijen) which is a no grain feed and I bought a lot of organic goodness from the nature store. We also stopped at the mall, I had to pick up a little gift AND treated M to Build-A-Bear and an umbrella that we found at Stride-Rite (of all places!). Who’s the happiest kid on my block today? {::SMILES}.

Alright, I just got some new DigiChick stuff. Hope to get my hands on them after my Sunday cleaning! Laters!!!
