Science Museum

Went to the Science Museum for the first time in good old London and we had a fantastic time. Since hubby likes to take things in, we split up. It worked out great because there are so many interactive things that kids can do at the Science Museum while hubby can go his pace looking at things he’s interested in (like airplanes, machines, etc.). Jovie’s favorite was probably the “Garden” located in the basement. Reason being: A water learn + play area. Every kid had a little waterproof cover on and while most kids stayed dried, Jovie was wet. So wet that I had to wring her dress. She had a fabulous time though and M did too. Nap time came and hubby kept Jovie (she was napping in her stroller) while M and I went off to the “Launchpad” on the 3rd floor. We had soooo much fun there while learning lots. The two live shows, Structures and Explosions, were very fun and educational to watch. We still have three more places to go to where kids (and adults… I saw a whole group of adults around the circuit boards) can do hands-on activities. We’ll go next time! I love London’s museums. So many great ones and most are free!!
Then I have a few digital projects using Jessica Sprague‘s pieces (notice how I am loving white backgrounds? {::SMILES}).
A simple little “love” page using goodies from Carina Gardner Fresh Picked: Summer Floral and Pattern Paper. Love watching these two girls together!
I love this photo of Jovie refusing to leave our post office. To give the photo a bit of an edge, I used Jodie Lee’s texture and frame for this photo.
Jovie’s favorite thing to do when we are in the driveway: Rock picking.
Created using lovelies from Jodie Lee:
French Flower Brushes
Steam Punk Brushes
Botanique Brushes
Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 coming soon
Splendid Finn Office Tape + Staples, Graph paper.
Ok, tata for now! More later!!
Gymnastics Morning

Hi! How’s your day going? It’s a Saturday here and for us it means no more sleeping in because a week and a half ago Emma was invited to join a competitive gymnastics group. Everything happened unexpectedly and quick and so now I am a gymnastics mom. It’s a good 25 minutes drive and so instead of going home I watch, run errands or in the case of last weekend and this weekend, we’ll be hanging out at the farmer’s market. M practices 4.5 hrs/week with a question mark next to another two hours in a few weeks/months if M does well… 6.5 hrs… EEK! We’re very proud of her, especially since she’s only been formally trained for six months before we moved to the UK and just got in the other gym in our town in May of this year. We’ll see how she likes it but so far, she loves it!
Alright, I gotta go. I just want to share my morning and also a card I created using Waltzingmouse’s sketch. I used WM’s stamps for this card and some Pebbles goodies. It’s suppose to be a boy card but dunno, looks a bit much for a future 7-yrs-old boy don’t you think?
Alright, laters!

No I didn’t loose it. I still know how to do math {::SMILES}.
But, eight years of marriage and two little girls later we are now a regular of “table for four, please” on anniversary celebration days. So honey, happy anniversary and let’s go celebrate at the Museum of Natural History in London and then dinner at a children family restaurant. Yeah, we’re SO romantic <– sarcasm there.
Some of you might wonder why we can’t get a sitter. Well, if you know Jovie you’ll understand. Unlike M, she’s not babysitter friendly. M made people want to have a baby. Jovie… the complete opposite. Her only saving grace is that she’s super adorable and once you know her (only if I am around), she’s full of personality.
Besides journaling about our oh so memorable anniversary, I want to share this lovely page using Scarlet Lime’s July kit. I love the shabby feel of the July package and love how M’s photos blend in so well. I can’t wait to get August’s goodies. I heard it’ll be AWESOME with lots of new goodness from CHA!
Laters all, I need to pick up Cheez-Its that Jovie just scattered on the rug but before I go, here’s a close-up of the layout.
HI!

Goodness gracious, it’s been soooooo long since I posted. I have been very busy and for a few days I have had no Internet. There are a lot of news to share though, all personal, and all great.
Before I start, I want to share this little card I made based on Waltzingmouse’s sketch for this week. I am not sure if you can see it but the border piece were cut into three pieces. I placed buttons over the cut lines. Can you see? Very fun simple sketch which is very versatile. LOVE the sentiment too… PRETTY!
The biggest news is… hubby’s back!! Yes, he’s been gone for three months and a lot of my hecticness have been due to his absence. I wasn’t expecting him anytime soon but he surprised us last Wednesday by showing up at the door. I wish I had a camera to capture Jovie’s face. She went from a happy cry face to arms outreached and a huge squeeze and lots of kisses after her daddy held her. We were quite happy with this since Jovie is not the friendly type. Emma jumped on her daddy as soon as she saw him and me… well, I am not the excited type and while happy wasn’t screaming, crying or jumping up and down.
Happy times!! I do plan on being here regularly again but for the next few, it’ll be off and on since we want to spend a bit more time with each other.
Laters!
Well…

Sleeping in didn’t work out today. It’s a bit past 9 a.m. and I am wide awake because SOMEBODY didn’t want to give me sleepy time. M didn’t mind playing with her but Jovie rather blast the iPod next to my ears.
I do have a card to share though, one created using Waltzingmouse’s stamps and sketch. I have been liking white lately. So much that I am thinking about going all white in the home decorating department and wardrobe. I just think it’s classy and makes simple cards look really stunning (especially if the paper is super thick, I used a 290 gsm weight paper).
Well, I am going to go… it’s 9 minutes past nine and Jovie seems happy playing with M in the playroom…
