This month for WPlus9′s All Eyes On Dawn wanted us to CASE a card from the WPlus9 Flickr gallery. After some time picking I chose this beautiful card by Erin.

Getting Caught Up!

I think after today I’d be able to go to bed at a more decent hour. Teaching two classes AND taking a four weeks one while staying at home with an active toddler got me. I just thought submitted my class exam so big sigh of relief here!!
Tonight I finally got a chance to relax in my craft room. I made this little card based on WPlus9′s color cue, #12. Lovely colors and the idea for this card came quickly. I used the lovely new stamps from WPlus9. HEART!!
Alright, I still have loads to do. I have a few deadlines besides grading and teaching between Wednesday and Friday. I should have done them earlier but ahh… things just always happen this way…
Laters!
So Busy!

Hi all! Goodness, been so swamped that I forgot to post for Saturday’s Waltzingmouse sketch! I feel like I’ve been MIA lately! I have a few personal things cooking and trying to wrap a lot of things up over here. Seriously, didn’t think working part-time from home would be this busy!! I’m not complaining, I love it, but everything takes up a lot of my time.
M had a little sleepover Saturday night. It was the first time she had two other girls over. For dinner we made pizza and the girls kneaded their own dough and did their own toppings. There were scrapbooking, games and a movie before bedtime. I have this box, 13x13x8-ish, of old stuff that I let M have. Since I set that box out, each time her friend comes over they’d make a card using the things from that box. My only rules is that they clean EVERY single mess they made. They seem ok with it and although not perfect I don’t have a disaster room after they’re done.
Alright ladies, I gotta go again. Need to take care of my online classes, two I’m teaching and one I’m taking. More whenever I get a chance!
Little Valentines

While a lot of my friends are buried in snow things are looking more and more like spring around here. I’ll have to share some pictures of our Snow Drops that are blooming! So pretty!! The day’s getting lighter too. It gets dark faster here. I think it got dark at 4 p.m. or so around the Winter Solstice.
I hope M’s friends exchanges Valentine cards because for once I made cute mini cards for that purpose. Pebbles has a 3×3 card sheet (16 cards on a 12×12 sheet) that are perforated so all you have to do is fold and tear. Although these cards could be used as is I thought they’d be a bit more formal if adhered onto a 3×3 card base. This project took me 10 minutes and I have to say, they look a tad bit cuter than the store bought ones {::SMILES}. If I want to I can embellish it more between now and Valentine’s day. A little button maybe, a brad, some rhinestones, etc. Give it a go!
I need to finish up a few projects before I grade so gotta run. I’ll post more when I have a little bit of time. Laters!

I’ve almost recuperated from M’s birthday party. Who’d have thought two hours with 22 kids would exhaust you. It’s not like I had a lot of prepping. It was just the party itself that tired me out. Told M no more until she’s 16! Plus, that’s about when the party fund will mature next, HA! I haven’t gone through the photos yet. I’ll share one or two later, probably on a layout.
The party itself was simple I think. I only use one piece of decoration, paper lanterns (was going to save these but they got ruined), that were hung above the table. I used different color table clothes and on top of it I just scattered different noise makers, colorful swirly lollipops, their gift bags and paper plates + cups (yes, I used disposables). We had a few games, they were laid out carnival style so that kids don’t have to wait in long lines. I started the kids of at the mask table. It gave them something to do while we waited for all to arrive. Then after all the kids arrived I spread them out throughout the room to do: Color your own race car (not just a hit with the boy -- I was surprised really), a carnival spinner game, bin bag toss, make your own bracelet, face painting by a very fine local artist and friend (this is a no BS face painting!!). For snacks we had pizza AND cake. Then to end the day the kids got to hit the unbreakable rainbow pinata. Hubby ended up breaking it but I think all the anticipation made the kids nuts and hubby was attacked when the pinata broke… or even before. Good times!
Thanks for all your birthday wishes. You made a 7-yr-old smile!! She loved reading all the messages. She felt really special!! You all are AWESOME!
I have no project to share. Actually I think I do but I’m not motivated still to take photos. But I have this cute little video to share. I took it with my phone so it’s not great but still adorable <-- BIAS here {::SMILES}.
Jovie and I have a little routine now. After we drop M off we’d learn our ABCs while I drink my tea/coffee. We use Baby Signing Time ABC for this. Since Jovie’s still not talking so well signing has been wonderful — more than M since M was an articulate chatterbox by 20-month (e.g. she’d say cellular phone instead of cell phone). We’ve been into ABCs since she’s about 18-mo. Maybe a little less. I didn’t think she’d pick up the letters but she did and I’m so happy! After watching Signing Time we’d go to the play room and draw letters on the board.
Alright, more later. Jovie is obsess with drawing with anything that can create lines on anything that it’ll show up on. I gotta tend to her. Laters!
