February Digital Pages

Sisters

My playing with Jovie, working with M’s lessons and homework, teaching and planning all sorts of travels have really taken a lot of craft time from me. After this trip though we’ll most likely be taking it a bit slower. I want to do a bigger holiday next year and in order to do that we need to just do little exploring around this area and save. I’m not sure where yet though. I’ve got eyes on Italy and Greece while hubby thinks up north will be nice (Norway, Sweden, etc.).

Anyhow, related to my craft is this blog of mine. Been a bit dry here lately, huh? It’s not that I haven’t been creating, it’s just that by the time I have time to blog it’ll be late at night and I have been choosing sleep over the blog. So today I have four digital projects from February. They’re all created using a kit or pieces from Jessica Sprague’s store.

The above was a Paislee Press and Kitschy collab. I LOVE both and it’s just awesome that they collaborated on Curated. The above was a template. Super easy and NICE!

Then I have a bright and happy page using Delovely Candy Candy and Elements!! It’s great that Cosmo Cricket sells digital stuff because I can reuse them over and over again and their digital kits are awesome for hybrid projects!

Lovely Girl

Then there’s a page of the monkey. Love this photo of M and the fun pieces from Echo Park fit the page perfectly I think. For the below I used pieces from the Little Girl collection: Elements Pack 1PaperElements Pack 2.

Beautiful Girl

Last but not least, another page created using Cosmo Cricket Material Girl: Candy Candy and Elements. I love the photo below. Two feet, one with and one without socks. That’s Jovie. I have to find pieces of her footwear almost every day.

Alright, until next time!!

Retro Happy Birthday

Wow, it’s the end of February already! Time needs to slow down a bit!!

Today I have a little card and some photos to share with you. For this month WPlus9 has two new sets of stamps AND a new line of dies! Yes yes, DIES! Tomorrow I’ll show you what I created using WPlus9′s first die – which cut perfectly on the Sizzix! Oh, before I forget… if you have a Facebook account and haven’t “like” the WPlus9 fan page please do. You never know when Dawn decides to do a fast giveaway on Facebook!

For this card I used the Retro Girl stamp set. Although it’s a stamp set where the main image beckons those who colors, it’s also quite nice when just left uncolored. A bit of accessories here and there and voila, a simple sweet card.

I’ll keep this short but before I go here are a few pictures from a few days ago…

Meet Daniel. He’s gets us places but sometimes we wonder if he’s a girl — complicated! Although he takes us through major roads the majority of the time, now and then he’d loose his mind and lead us through the tiniest of the road even though just around the corner (see the orange line on the GPS?) is the bigger road. The road we were on could only fit one car. It was a two way road.

Daniel

We got lucky in the kids department. Both don’t mind traveling since they were babies. Jovie is actually a better baby traveler than M. She’d look out the window, sleep or when she’s not looking out or tired she’d make all sorts of noises. Too bad not a lot of people know how fun of a baby she is. When she’s around others she’s pretty quiet.

Loud Mouth

Here’s big sister. No, she’s not usually stuck to the iPod. She was checking her Smurfs, Zoo and Zombies. See, she has to earn iPod time everyday by doing chores and homework/lessons. Oh, she was also practicing her guitar and French on it so it’s not all games.

Emma

Walking pass a church in downtown Honfleur. There were many galleries, with artists working on site, on this road and there’s one that I love. I don’t have the card handy right now but my, the colors were so vibrant!! Unfortunately we didn’t quite have 650 Euro that day for a 12×48″ (more less) painting. Note: Jovie prefers to walk than ride the stroller or be carried. Emma on the other hand had to be banned from the stroller a bit before Jovie was born.

Dad and J

Have a great one all! Enjoy your Monday!

Back Again!

Honfleur

Hi all!!! After weeks of planning and a week of being away the whole family, dogs included, are now back in the UK. We had the most lovely lovely time in Normandy, France and was a bit sad to leave. Although I had my computer with me and the cottage we stayed at had Internet I tried my best to only be online when I needed to check on my students and to post a few pictures for families and friends on Facebook.

The above was Honfleur. Such a beautiful town and we made a little note to ourselves to come back and do more there. I’ll share more pictures later this week!

Anyhow, just a little short note and do check back tomorrow since it’s the end of the month and WPlus9 has some new goodies launching March 1st! Gotta go and make my samples now… a bit behind {::SMILES}.

Au Revoir

The last few weeks Emma’s been learning French. There’s a little after school club at a different primary school that I take M to and she’s been loving it. Everyday we try to practice. Just a few words here and there. Jovie’s been picking it up too and now each time we say goodbye Jovie would say: “A-vaa” with a little wave.

Another short post from me today. Created this card using some Scarlet Lime February goodies. The stickers that came with the kit has been awesome for card making.

Alright, gotta go. Sleeeeeeeeepy!! Until next time!!

I Am SUCH an Asian

Scaret Lime Main Fab

Hey gals (and guys… although doubting there’s one reading my blog)! Happy hump day! I can’t believe it’s Wednesday! I guess time goes by way too fast when one’s having fun.

Today I have a little page that I created using Scarlet Lime’s February main kit. It’s such a fun kit because it’s got fun cute and NEW things. I got some NEW Pebbles Inc goodness before my DT stash was delivered by Mr. Brown (I MISS Mr. Brown! He used to stop by about once a week when we were in Missouri).

The last few days I’ve been taking photos of the family and things around us. I’ve been snapping pictures here and there, even at restaurants, that hubby said, “Can you stop being an Asian and put the camera down to eat?” He said this because despite the fact that many people like to take photos of about anything new/interesting you might also notice that (eastern) Asians are notorious for photographing just about anything and everything. It’s probably more obvious since Asians tend to travel in groups and there’s usually non-stop photo taking, even in places you’re not suppose to, like ballets (note, I’m not this bad). Just to annoy him (I am very good at this) I took a few pictures of him using my wide angle.

Hubby

If you own a wide angle lens you know that you need to be right smack on the subject to get this photo. So not only did I not put my camera down, I pointed it right in front of his face {::SMILES}. My husband is really a poor soul to have married me he he he…

Hubby

He might look like he’s smiling but deep inside he’s trying to figure out how to either get rid of me or the camera. Looking at this picture more I think he was trying to telepathically break the camera. What do you think?

Scarlet Lime February Main Kit

Here are some close-ups of the page.

That’s it for today. I’ll be back another time. For now, I am going to stalk my family some more. Actually, let me show you one more photo… she’s sick of me taking pictures of her too… It’s too bad. She was so cute too in her little bright outfit!
