See You Soon

So here’s my little secret… for almost three months now the hubby’s been living in England. In less than a week we’ll all be together again and we are very much looking forward to it. Although we’ve accomplished a lot the last few months I can’t lie about how tough things were sometimes. Skype has been wonderful but there’s nothing better than being together. We can’t wait to see how Jovie will take to her daddy. She LOVES him on Skype. They’d giggle and laugh together. Very very cute! The computer has been kind of bitter sweet though. Jovie calls it daddy sometimes {::SMILE}.

Tonight’s our first night on the base. We’re allowed five days at base lodging and we’re taking advantage of it since our bed was picked up earlier today. This way too we can really clear up our home by Sunday. Wish me luck!! It’s been really hard cleaning almost 3000 sq.ft. with two kids and one being a baby. I did have a cleaning lady scheduled but I got to gradually cleaning the upstairs, then the basement, then my MIL came and helped me with the garage and some inside and then I just thought it’d be silly to not finish.

It’s been quite a journey, a lot of stress and sometimes arguments too due to frustrations, but through it all we’re still one awesome team and us girls can’t wait to see one good looking guy in the UK this coming Thursday!

I’ll share more later but for now, this is is. Here are close-ups of the page. I did this weeks ago at that crop I went to.

The photo was taken at the airport. It was their little goodbye.

Color Cue 3, Wplus9

It’s Thursday! I have one more night here in our home (sniff, sniff) and then we’ll be moving in to base lodging until we fly out next Wednesday. I have tons of UK stuff to share but today, I just want to post this card and get on with my Thursday…

Dawn, the owner and designer of WPlus9, has another color cue challenge on her blog. AWESOME colors: blue/gray, yellow, white, and melon. Although the colors are great I had a hard time creating because I have a limited supply of ink. I only have six colors with me: red, blue, white, black, pink, and green, and so I had to really dig through my stuff to be able to play. A challenge I tell you. So, my card’s close but the blue on mine is just a tad bit more turquoisy than the blue on the Cue. So yes, quite a challenge indeed this one was!

wPlus9 card

Hi again!! I made some more cards last night out of necessity. My box load of cards are in a crate somewhere (scheduled to arrive on British soil the 25th of April per the carrier, YEAH!!) and I do need to give a few thank you cards before I leave. If you noticed most of my cards lately have “thank you” or “hello” or “for you” on them.

This card was made using WPlus9′s stamps: Woodgrain Silhouettes and the Addition. Each are $19 OR, get both for $33! These stamps are BEAUTIFUL!! I love them. Dawn did a great great job with these!! Here are the full images of these two sets:

You like? Well, head on over to WPlus9 store, they’re available now!!

Now, do you LIKE WPlus9′s stamps quite a bit? You think they’re ones you can work with or just your style? Then you need to head on over to Dawn’s blog and read all about the WPlus9 DT details. Dawn’s really easy to work with. Very fun and laid back and like she said, which stamper doesn’t like free stamps, right? Do try out and we all can’t wait who Dawn picks!!

I am not done! Need a few giggles? Check out this set of pics…

Jovie Licking Bowl

Jovie Licking Bowl

Jovie Licking Bowl

I told you Jovie loves my cooking ha ha ha… We had mac and cheese that day. The cheese around here wasn’t part of the meal. M wanted extra cheese and she left the container within Jovie’s reach. The thing is Jovie won’t eat the cheese crumbs. She doesn’t like feeling mushy things on her fingers/hands. But, she did love the meal so much that she felt the need to grab the bowl and lick it all up.

You all have a great one! I hope your Tuesday is wonderful!!

A Little CSS

SW-RockaBye-3

It’s Monday… almost Tuesday! Yes, I can feel it, this week will just zoom on by very quickly. In one hand it’ll be wonderful, a day closer to us leaving for the UK, on the other hand, I feel like we still have a lot to do! This weekend we plan on moving into base lodging. That way we can get every little thing mailed over and just worry about what we’ll be wearing. So we’ll see, so far it looks like we’re on target.

Card wise… I have here a little Clear and Simple card using the April’s stamp: Rock-a-Bye. Do you like the die-cut shape? I do! I’d like to use the shape for tags and clouds. I think it’ll make pretty clouds! This is a simple baby card. Something neutral for a girl or boy. It was pretty quick to make too and quick cards are always nice when you’re in jam — like 5 minutes before a baby shower, ha!

Ok, short and sweet. If you like the cardstock color, get it at CSS, it’s called Orange You Fabulous and the button is CSS also: Dare to Be Diva Red or in the Designer Mix.

Laters!

Shark Teeth M

Posted on | April 11, 2010 | 6 Comments

Well, Savitri got sick of moving and even though it’s past 1 a.m. I am happily watching Law & Order on Netflix while stamping.

Today, Saturday, was a great day. The girls and I went to Kansas City to meet up with the very talented Dawn Mcvey. I invited her for Dim Sum at Bo Ling’s. Bo Ling’s pretty well known, so well known that there are multiple locations in the area. Anyhoot, we made plans and we agreed on meeting at the Overland Park location at noon. A few minutes past noon my phone rang and it was Dawn on the other end. I thought she was running late or something but we had a good chuckle when we found out that we were at two different restaurants… both in Overland Park. Ha!! But all was fine when she popped in to the one us girls were at.

What’s with the shark teeth title? Well, check out this photo:

Miss Emma and Dawn Mcvey

Dawn looks great like always but M could not smile “normal” for me. She’s been into showing me her toothless smile. She got two more teeth pulled a couple days ago and she’s proud of them AND the $20 she got from the tooth fairy. Here’s my take on her $20 loot… the tooth fairy had lunch and used all her $1 bills for tip and when she got to M, after midnight, all she got left was $20. I told M that the fairy’s going to be broke the next time around, ha!

Emma was so funny… we went to the bathroom and before we came back to our seat she said: Can you take my picture with Miss Dawn?

M LOVES Dawn. You should have seen her snuggle up next to Dawn after lunch. Jovie on the other hand didn’t want to do anything with Dawn. From across the table Jovie would smile and giggle at Dawn but when Dawn held her hands out to hold Jovie, Jovie did the cry face. Jovie’s (M was the same way) just not into strangers.

Dawn was so sweet, she brought us some goodies. If you follow her blog do you remember this post about the cupcakes? She got us some and goodness, they are good! So good that I think we’re going to swing by that place before we fly out he he…

I also want to share a little card… a little Dawn set…

Thank You

Thanks Dawn for the gifties and for meeting us. We had a fun time!!! We all hope we can see you again… in England maybe {::SMILE}.

Last, I’ll share the Dim Sum cart that kept passing us today…
