Hybrid Challenge at TDC

Hey, it’s me again! I have some fun news to share but not today. In the mean time, hope on over to the DigiChick cause I’m hosting a challenge and if you play a long you can win a prize (even if you don’t to play hop on over, there’s a free paper pack that you can download)! It’s my first blog post at TDC and I think my first challenge <– Wow, did I just write that? My kid has had more challenges under her belt than me! Speaking of, the M is out of sketch ideas. She said she wants to do another one but oh so mojo-less. I’ve been unsuccessful in motivating her. She’s got a lot going on right now, I wish I can share, but that too will be for another time.

Anyhoot, here’s the card that I created for the TDC challenge:

I was going for the manly kind of card. I thought the shapes reminded me of gears. Perfect for my hubby. Savitri is gear-tarded. I have a hard time imagining gear movements and hubby always had a fun time explaining the movement to me each time there’s a complicated one (I finally got a hang of the easy one). This is why I have never been good in physics. As long as I have a good teacher I can do math and chemistry but physics… after the first two weeks my grades would go down, down, down, and down. A “C” in physics is fabulous for me. Hubby, he’s math-tarded but he understands the concepts of physics really well. Now he won’t pass the calculation portion of it (cause he’s math-tarded) but he can explain whatever concept he’s learned pretty well.

For the card I used Karen Lewis’s Makin’ Mischief kit. Cute (masculine) kit! If you’re a card maker I think you can get by with getting just the paper pack. But if you scrapbook, there are some nice tags in there!! The stamp is Wplus9, Funky Foliage.

Well, don’t expect too much out of me this week. All my computers died on me and right now I am on a dinosaur laptop. On top of my busted computers my memory card reader broke in half (no, my big fat butt did not sit on it) so I’ve been downloading photos from my camera using the USB connection which totally sucks because it doesn’t pick-up the RAW files. I’m still peachy and positive but doing computer/Internet/photo/blogging things will be a tad bit more inconvenient. Ok, I’m done. Going to bed. Me sleepy!!!!
