Lovely Wednesday it Was

Posted on | February 4, 2010 | 10 Comments |

Well, usually Wednesday is just the middle of the week. Hump day they call it. But today it was a bit more special. First of all I looked at my Google Reader. I haven’t done this regularly in ages. I’ve had to clear a few because I keep hitting 1000+ unread post. They’re not all crafty. Half are work related and them geek folks post every hour it seems. Anyhow, as I was skimming I saw my card and I saw the word: WINNER. I WON, I WON, I WON, whoohoo!! Ok, I’ve won a few things here and there but never $100 of stamping stuff!!! Thanks Embellish ladies for choosing my card. You made my day!! Then when I drove up to the garage I saw this little brown enveloped stuck to my utility meter. OOOOOH, my favorite thing after the kids: a package for me!!!! (I hope the husband doesn’t read today’s post, ha!). Content: Wplus9‘s stamps!!!

I know I should have gone to bed but I couldn’t resist. I had to try it and here’s my personal review (I am picky about my clear stamps): the stamps are wonderful. They are high quality stamps, ones you don’t have to treat before you use. The images, as you can see from the close-up pics below, are crispy clear. If you haven’t signed up at Wplus9′s site, you should. It’s definitely worth it and the stamps are beautiful! So here’s what I did tonight.

Cutest Smile

For the journaling I used the Just a Note set (you can see more at Dawn’s blog). The chipboard that the “A Note” was stamped on was part of a tag from American Craft. The lines came from the Just a Note set also, great for making journaling lines besides sheet music. The little flower came from the Funky Foliage set. I think Dawn intended it to be part of a tree but hey, it looks nice on the back of that button {::SMILE}.

Journaling

Then the usual clutter of shtuff. The Love Birds set (branch, leave, bird, hearts and the “I Love You”) is wonderful. Very versatile and the branch is the perfect size for scrapbooking/cardmaking (I’ve been wanting another branch that’s a tad bit longer). Again I used the Funky Foliage and Just a Note set.

Elements

The other stuff I used are: Making Memories and Sassafras pattern paper, Basic Grey chipboard, Prima flower, American Craft Alpha, and Making Memories alpha.

Alrighty, I better go to bed. I think I’m sleeping early tomorrow!!

Shut up!!! This is exactly why I knew I wanted YOU on my Design Team! I knew you would be able to do my stamps justice on a scrapbook layout! I had you in mind when I created Love Birds and Just a Note just for that reason…larger scale. I really LOVE everything about this layout. Especially that BEAUTIFUL baby! ;o)
