What a Week + End

Posted on | January 24, 2010 | 9 Comments |

Just a lot going on this week and this weekend!! I am hoping though that from now on things will kind of settle a bit… with some activities here and there related to our move. There have been a couple of happy emails too last week (no I’m not getting published this year… I haven’t even submitted) and one I’m looking forward to hear more (job related in the UK – currently just a lead but I’m hoping it’ll be a good one).

Yesterday the family went out and on our way home we stumbled upon a new Scrapbook store in the suburb of Kansas City: Scrapbook Boutique in Lees Summit, MO. I LOVE this store. It’s got a bit of everything. If I were to open a scrapbook store it’d be this size. It’s small, cozy and chock full of gorgeous goodies. I got the EK scallop punch (and gorgeous Prima goodies for a page or two). I’ve been looking for that thing! I could have bought tons of paper but I didn’t. I’ve already got a lot in that department that I’m hoarding. If you’re in the area, do stop by. Downtown Lees Summit is lovely already and having this store there makes it more worthwhile. I’ll only be here a few more months but I’ll be visiting that store a few more times before then.

Just Because

Here’s a bright card using a digital kit by Traci Reed from Sweet Shoppe Designs: Live Your Life, a stamp from PaperTrey, and the scallop punch. Such a vibrant digi set!! I LOVE Traci’s stuff!!!

Alright, I got to go before the Jovie wakes up. I am starving!!! Laters!

Cute card, luv the ribbon! I bet finding a store full of goodies is always fun! I’m sure there are those types of stores around here, but with Archivers, Michael’s and Joanns dominating the crafting world around here, well, I visit them a lot and I’m sure they like it as well! Hope you have time to relax!
