Blog Candy

Literally! Has any of you had Chuao chocolates before? If you love chocolates and you haven’t tasted any you’re missing out. I found these at our local WalMart have buying 3-4 of them at a time… in case they run out ya know… ha! Today I’m giving some away but there’s a catch… only those living in north America/Europe can play. I don’t want the chocolates to melt in the mail.

I did some Googling because I was wondering why the price is so high (although very worth it) and found that Chuao is #8 in the Forbes list for most expensive chocolate. It’s expensive for many reasons, and one is that it’s made in the US, but totally worth it.

Caracas Chuao

So, here’s my blog-o candy and whoever wins will get 3 bars mailed to you. Deadline: Dec. 21 by 11:59 p.m. CST and all you have to do is post a comment and tell me what you made for this coming holiday… baking, cooking, sewing, craft, etc.

Our news… We’ve just been swamped with moving and house selling. We had a very interested buyer stop by yesterday and even though there’s no contract they are still interested. We’re just waiting for a few things to fit into place. Prayers and fingers crossing, please {::SMILE}. The great news is that today’s my last day at work. I’ll have two weeks off!!! So excited! We’ll still be going through stuff and house work but I am hoping for a little bit of craft time for me too. The change of off days (the original last day of work is suppose to be next Wednesday), by our university president (last minute news) threw my gift giving schedule off a bit. The bad news is that I have nothing to give my co-workers as of today. The good news is that I’ll have more time over the break to finish making what I want to make for a few of them. Another bad thing… as of today I’ve only sent one Christmas card out. YIKES! Yeah, people’s going to get New Year’s cards from us this year. Oh well. Moving comes first this time around. It’s a once in a lifetime deal, right?

Have a great one!!

Oh yummy! I’ve never tried these. This year I’ve made turtles, spritz cookies, peppermint bark popcorn, sugar cutout cookies, chex mix, peanut butter blossoms, gingersnaps, chocolate and regular caramels and peppermint brownies. Typing that made me sick! :)

Mmm…chocolate. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity. :)

This year I made cards (of course!). For neighbor gifts I’m giving apricot-apple cider and, for the kids, personalized notepads and pencils with jingle bell toppers (made by my kids). I also have grand plans to sew my son a magician’s cape. Haven’t even bought the fabric yet, so we’ll see how that goes. ;-)

    Good luck with the move!

I’ve never had that kind, but I love almost any kind of chocolate.
So far I’ve made candy cane sweet rolls, caramels, TONS of cookies, a new crafty tree to add to my collection, snowflakes with the kids, ornaments and lots of cards.

Wow, never had that chocolate. Never even heard of it for that matter! But you have me intrigued! I made all sorts of cookies this year. It’s my tradition. I baked 7 different kinds- about 24 dozen total. I’m just trying my best not to eat them all myself. LOL

Well what a greatly timed post- I am typically a very good baker and bake my heart out at Christmas. This year, nothing is working out, or tastes any good! I am so frustrated and disappointed!!!! I told my inlaws tonight that next year I am putting oreos on a paper plate for Christmas!!!
I made all my cards, but I am still addressing them… they should be good to go tomorrow or Sunday.
Glad you have an interested buyer! Sending good vibes your way!!!
    Diane

I love chocolate..would love to try them.
This Christmas I finished two quilts…this is the story.
My grandsons paternal great grandmother had hand pieced the two quilts in her mid to late 90′s. She then became ill and had to go to a nursing home…I was told about the quilts…this was in the spring. So I asked if I could finish them by hand quilting them. She passed this life in April this year at age 100, she did get to see one quilt almost finished and loved it. I finished both quilts in November..and they are Christmas gifts for my grandsons, ages 19 and 15…they will love them.
As I made each stitch, I thought about their great grandmother and how she touched the very place I was stitching. These are treasures for sure.

I enjoyed quilting them..and will start on two more for the granddaughters next year..until all 6 have their own quilts.
Thanks for the opportunity to win some chocolate.

I have made a ton of cookies, and will make more! I’m also making several scarves (the easy kind – out of fleece), some cute felt baskets I saw today (from the Baskets & Blooms Bigz die), and whatever else strikes my fancy! Thanks for the chance to win!

Well, I haven’t sewn anything yet for the holidays, but I have been thinking about making some cute headbands for my daughter and nieces for Christmas. I guess I love to do craft under pressure, I guess I’ll see if I have time! And of course cooking and baking and lots of gifts for teachers and friends! :)

I made all my Christmas cards this year, and last night I made two batches of Bourbon Balls. This morning, if my daughter ever wakes up, we will make cream cheese sugar cookies. On Christmas Eve, we will make a gingerbread house. It’s an annual tradition.

I’m always excited about yummy chocolate … unfortunately, I had my tonsils out this week, so my holiday cooking has been limited to mashed potatoes. Thanks for the chance to win.

    Did someone say chocolate? ;O)

I’m making applesauce as my gift this year. I like making things, and since my sister loves my applesauce, I decided to make it for her, and everyone else.

    Happy Holidays!

    Chocolate!!! Yum!

What I’ve made this year? Unique cards for each and every person on my list! Cookies… bake sale treats… I still have a few projects to go :(

I feel your pain on getting your cards in the mail! Mine just made it into the mail today :( I made a last ditch effort to get them all written and addressed over the last 2 days, and I think I’m all done except for 2 that will be hand delivered. I just kept the insides simple! At least one just had a “Merry Christmas” and their and our names in it! You can do it, don’t give up!
