More Christmas Joy

Message from Emma: hi ms dawn hugs emma.
And… here’s M holding my card for me. I used Dawn McVey’s colors and stamps from PaperTrey for this card (there’s a line mark on M’s cheek. It’s a pen mark. She said she wanted to look like a cougar).
Here’s a better picture of it. The center of the ornaments were embossed using American Craft Zing.
The brown cardstock was adhered with glue to the cream paper. The rest were adhered using the new dimensionals that I ordered last weekend from StampInkTons. I got the 1/8″ and 1/16″ (this is the same as SU’s dimensionals) and compare to a CD case, these are how big 36 yards are. They adhere well. I like and it’s nice that I can cut however big of a piece I want. The hard part… storage.
Speaking of storage, do any of you have a JetMax storage system? I’ve been looking at them and seeing what others do. Here are some links if you want to see some configurations. Michael’s carry these and sometimes they’re on sale and sometimes you have to use your coupons.
I think it might fit my needs. I was looking at IKEA stuff but shipping is to expensive and I want to get them here and soon while I still have a job. There’s also the Store in Style but I can’t find them locally. I don’t know which is better either. Let me know if you use this (or other) system and what you think of them. You think they’ll be able to stand an overseas move and hopefully back to later in a few years?

I could have read that message wrong, but was that a message for me??? :)
HI Emma!! How are you? Did you type that message all by yourself? Very cool! I totally think we should plan another get-together one of these days. And by the way, I think you should let your mom take your picture a lot more often. I just love getting to see pretty pictures of you! You are such a cutie! Maybe we even need to take another picture together next time we see each other. What do you think? By the way, tell your mom that I think her card is so cute! I love how she used my ornament set! Hope you have a great day, Chickie. Tell your mama ‘hi’ from me, ok?
Smooch!

Add a CommentWow, what a fantastic card! The Vintage Ornaments just work so well with that colour combo! I love all the little details you put into it. Also those rolls of dimensionals – wow!
Add a CommentI see Baby J peeking over in the background!!! Lol!
SO CUTE!
Love the way you stitched! Fun card, girlfriend! Umm…. I’m buying that foam adhesive. When I buy more, i’m buying that stuff…lol… JEEBUS!
Add a CommentSuch a lovely card!
Add a CommentSuper cute, Vit! You’ve got a boat load of foam adhesive that ought to last you until you get to England! Don’t have that organization product, but I do have IKEA Expedit bookcase and LOVE it! I guess you don’t have an IKEA near you because it’s totally worth it. I’ve had my bookcase since 2005, moved twice and it’s in same condition and they keep coming out with new stuff to add to it (which I had to buy too)!
M looks a lot like you in this picture! She’s so cute, even with her cougar mark! LOL
Add a CommentGreat use of the colors Savitri :) I think I will participate in Dawn’s challenge as well if I have time this weekend. Gearing up for Halloween is taking up a lot of time even if it is still a week away.
Add a CommentBeautiful ornaments! Don’t you just LOVE ZING! It makes everything look better! Love your card!
Add a Commentlovely card! great pic emma!
Add a Commentfirst off, beautiful card! i’m trying SO Hard to be patient with ups, they had to reschedule my new PTI order to monday…AUGG!! i love, love, love this card!!
storage. i’ve had the cubes from micheals for since we moved home from germany, so just almost 6 months, and i {love} them. they are a serious PAIN to put together, but I do really love them A LOT! i also have the expedit from ikea, and i think i like the cubes better, because you don’t get so much wasted space? i don’t have my ikea shelf in my workspace, i’ve had it for 9 years and it’s moved as many times as we have(6 wow!), and it’s still alive and kickin’! good luck!!:)
Add a CommentYour card is adorable. Love it.
Add a CommentLove your card! One of my favorites!
Add a CommentLove your card–the ornaments are perfect for this color combo! The embossing is perfect and I love the ribbon with button! I may have to look into that site for dimensionals–I’m always running out and it’s expensive!! Have a great weekend!

hmmmmm….I kinda sorta promised myself that I wouldn’t buy anything crafty until after I went to CK Seattle…cripes, that isn’t for another 2 weeks…I think I ‘need’ that foam tape…
Oh btw, I haven’t used your ‘happy’ on a card…yet…but I hope to post on my blog what I have done with it…maybe tomorrow…lol.

Add a CommentYour card is stunning! I love this set – it’s on my wishlist. Your daughter is beautiful! Great job. Thanks for sharing!
Add a Commentlove this … I ordtered this set but haven’t received it yet…can’t wait to play with it.
Add a CommentThe cubes from Michaels are SUCH a pain to put together. I did my last one about two weeks ago, and the blister that formed on my hand JUST disappeared yesterday. I am not exaggerating.
I also have the IKEA expedit, and just love it. You can get drawer inserts and doors for the expedit now as well, so I’d go with that.
Aren’t you moving to the UK? There are IKEAs all over Europe and the UK. Can you wait til you get there?
