Happy 50th Anniversary

You know, all this week I’ve been using M’s sketch to make my cards. M pointed it out to me today on this one. I looked and yeah, I can see that. If you want to participate, you still have until Saturday, midnight CST to play in M’s challenge. We have TWO prizes now!! Yes, yes, go and look. M now has a sponsor!! She said she wants to do another one after this… not sure what but she has some ideas she said… and there is also a sponsor for that week’s challenge too. She’s so happy when I told her about it and I hope a couple of you can play again!!
My card… Our neighbor will have their 50th anniversary next month. WOW, 50!! For their anniversary their daughter has asked all of her parents’ friends to make a card, write a little note about the couple, and mail it to her by Friday the 16th. She will then put all the cards in a custom box so that her parents can go through them and feel like all their friends are around them. Our neighbors are retired military and their friends are everywhere. It’d be tough to get everybody together in November and so the daughter came up with this idea. How fun, huh?
My card’s pretty simple. I wish I can say I crocheted the flowers but no, they were purchased. Love love love my new Fiskar border punch and even though it’s purple-ish, I kind of like the color combo. The happy I wrote with Sakura Glaze pen. Now, if you’re ever looking for a white ink gel pen, Sakura is it. I’ve had many and they all would clog up or just not white enough. I love mine and I’ve had it for a little while too.
Alright, have a great Friday and this weekend I hope to make something circle for Ashley Newell’s challenge. I’ve got ’til Sunday. I think I can do it. I was suppose to go to Arkansas to meet up with a high school friend but we found out last week that she’ll be a tad bit too far for Jovie to travel. That baby cannot stand long car rides and going 6hrs on a weekend, one way, would just be too cruel. So next time!

Great card for such a momentous occassion… Lord… 50 years, huh? Lol!
I completely passed out on the couch last night and didn’t get to finish my M-card. I’ll do it tonight and get it posted! I can’t wait. :-)
Add a CommentHey Vit! This is so nice. I love the simple layout, but you embellish it so perfectly. Your handwriting is a great touch! I would’ve goofed that part up! I’m going to have to try a Sakura pen for writing because it looks easy to write with (than the Uniball broad I have)! BTW, I still haven’t sewed ONE thing (except cards)! I even bought a book – so sorry! I am going to try to make a purse soon!
Add a CommentLOVE your card…you should seriously market your handwriting into sentiment stamps..seriously sista.
Oh sheesh, that’s my 2nd border punch that I’ll be putting on my wish list this week…
I’ve been able to see some of the the other M challenge cards…they’re great but you know what I like thee most? m’s sweet little comments…now that’s super adorable and if I had the time I’d make a zillion cards just to read all of her comments:)

Add a CommentYour handwriting is great!! I’m still learning to like my handwriting and wouldn’t dare to write on my card especially on the front. It will ruin everything.
