M’s Sketch Challenge #1
Posted on | October 11, 2009 | 38 Comments |
UPDATE (and this is a sticky, scroll down for latest post): Oh wow, I can’t believe how many of you joined! This is so great and Emma LOVES each and every one of them!! She said: Mommy, I am going to have a hard time picking. SO, since this is her first challenge and I have found some AWESOME sponsors I am going to offer two prizes. So we’re looking at two winners!! One winner will win M’s original prize and the second will get to pick something (up to $6.99) from Julie Billingsley’s store at Sweet Shoppe Designs. Julie’s got some awesome stuff that will go very well in any hybrid project!! You still have time to enter!!!! Julie, if you’re reading this, THANK YOU so much for being Emma’s first sponsor!!!!!
Ok, ladies, this is all M’s idea AND her own scrappy stash for the prize. She was inspired by 2Sketches4You’s challenge. I thought she wanted to do one but she said no, she wanted to put up her own challenge. She bought two Thickers and rhinestones at the expo and now wants to use them for the prize… plus some paper. Do you want to play? It’d be so awesome if at least one of you do… or your kids. It’ll make her day!
This is the sketch (notice her hands and a bit on the cheeks too… ink… she’s always using my ink):
This is M’s example:
This is mom’s example (PTI stamps, CB folder, SU ribbon, Basic Grey DP):
And two prizes for two winners:
Anything (none collaboration kit) by Julie Billingsly… here’s one gorgeous sample kit — and there are tons more:
Emma said you have one week, until next 11:59 p.m. (CST) Saturday the 17th. On Sunday M will pick out a winner. She’s super excited about her first challenge. She said she has a few more ideas but I told her to hold her butt and to sketch those ideas on to her notebook for now.
Thanks for reading this ladies and if you have the time, please post your link to your creation in the comments section. Have a great one!!

Add a CommentSavitri, it’s me again. I showed my god-daugther, Chloe (also 4 years old)the photo of Emma and I asked if she wants to say hello to her. She laughed and shyly said yes. Here’s what Chloe has to say to Emma “Hello Emma. My name is Chloe and I have lots of toys”. This is exactly what she said :) And she said she wants to share her toys with Emma and want to play her. Ain’t that cute?? :)

Finally, I got everything out, we talked about colors and cut the paper down and make the the strip for her and let her at it.
