Blog Candy!!!!!

Hey folks, I got some goodies for you!! I went to the Creating Keepsake scrapbook expo and found some yummy sale and I thought I’d share some of my finds with you (plus a few things from my stash). Tons of fun stuff and my favorite (besides the oh so many paper that I wish I could buy) is that Hambly chipboard owl. You know I’m a huge owl fan, right? I got three of them, one for one of you, M and me. It’s not much but I want to somehow show my appreciation to all you out there. I looked up my Feedburner stats and I have over 420 readers. This is just amazing!! Thank you so so much! I really appreciate your time and always enjoy every single comment you leave. Now I’m kind of curious… is it me you’re here for or the two brats who live with me? {::SMILES}.
I know I mentioned last post that after our UK move I’ll be wanting to write more about our life there but I’m also hoping that I’ll be able to stay home with Jovie (and M after school) and create more projects, produce more tuts (mostly digital stuff cause I’m too lazy to haul my camcorder to do a paper tut), and hopefully share some products — a little freebie stuff here and there (die-cut, digital element/paper, etc.). So yeah you might have to put up with more scenic/kids’ pictures or me complaining about my oh so burnt cake (I really suck at baking) but you’ll still get the usual share of crafty goodness.
Anyhoot, for the candy, just leave me a comment by October 16th 12 a.m. CST and you’ll be eligible to win the below PLUS $10 to Sweet Shoppe Designs (I guarantee you’ll have a hard time picking!!). In your comment let me know if you’ve tried hybrid and if you liked it or not. If you’ve never tried it, tell me if it’s something you’d like to try. This one is optional but what kind of tuts would you like to see in the future?
Next item… here’s my shopping/expo partner. M had a fun time and her eyes were wide open when she saw all the vendors and that she could buy more than one thing. She had a great time and it was such a nice feeling to be able to also share my birthday money with her. She LOVED the make and take and the ladies were impressed with her skills. After we came home she went upstairs and all us adults could hear downstairs were thump, thump, thump. When I went up to put things away, this was what I saw. She moved her craft stuff to the hallway. She said it’s her make and take booth. She had a sample, papers trimmed, and embellishments ready for her customers (me, myself, and I). Love this kid!!!!
I hope you all had a great week. This weekend is homecoming weekend for our hometown university. We’re going to the (very cold) parade tomorrow and who knows what else after that. We have lots of house cleaning to do — urgh — but that can wait {::SMILES}.

Looks like you had a great time shopping! I’ve not tried hybrid, but I really want to, so please do those tutorials! Thanks for the chance to win.
Add a CommentI just happened by your blog via SoSketchy. It is so cute that she set up a make and take booth! My girls are 13 and 16 – they are my scrapping buddies…they really love the online crops that I occasionally do the challenges for. On hybrid, the closet thing I have done is print out my journaling (if that counts) for some reason…its kind of scary to me. Tutorials would be great – going to click follow you now :)
Add a CommentHello Savitri :) Thanks for being so generous AGAIN! You are an inspiration for me to be MORE generous to “stranger” :) [i mean... cards lover] I have not tried hybrid before but i love to learn new thing :) I would love to see tutorial on how to tie nice knot :p (i am still very bad in this!) and creative ways of playing with stamps and punches :) (i am really bad in that :p)
Add a CommentI come here for stamping AND your cuties that live with you! I am very interested in hybrid…just getting ready to jump in! :)
Add a CommentMs. M is so cool! I think she is getting ready to start her own biz. I’ll be her number one customer!! I love owls too! have you seen a pic of my scraproom? good lord the owl is almost as tall as me. hahah
yes i’ve tried hybrid and I love it. I dont get to do it often… but i really enjoy it. I also love digi scrapping but i’m still finding my way through photoshop and because of that it keeps me from using it. anyway i would love to see photoshop not PSE tutorials on digi or hybrid stuff. I’m huge fan of tips and tricks….love short cuts on anything and everything. So if you have any up your sleeve do share!!! I wouls really like to get more into digi stuff. Oh and last. I just got a new camera….so photography tricks too! you take awesome pics….i;d love to learn.
thats it…..i’m needy i know :)
Add a CommentWow, great candy! I have never done hybrid scrapping. I am still very happy playing with my stuff in my scraproom I haven’t felt the need to go digi (yet)! One day I may try.

Add a CommentHallo dearie :)
I’ve not tried hybrid… i’m a paper girl :P But I would like to try it one day and see what’s it all about…. I’m not too good with the comp, though… so if you could run through from the very beginning on your tuts, that’ll be great! :)
And M is so cute… having her own make and take booth? I wish I’m there :D
Add a CommentI like to do hybrid projects because it expands my choice of paper and embellishments. I can’t think of any specific tutorials I would want; sorry.
Add a CommentHi Savatiri I just love to pop by to see what you are all up to there!!!!

I just recently learned about hybrid and would love to give it a try. Hard to know where to begin there’s so much new stuff to learn!
Add a CommentGlad you had a great day with M! :)
Add a CommentI should say that I’ve tried hybrid, as I made one card with digital paper about a month ago, and I really would love to try some more.
Thanks for the chance to win – and keep the wonderful blog posts coming!
M is so cute, hate to break it to ya, yeah, we keep coming back for M and Jovie, hehe, jk Savitri. Luv everything about your blog, your fam stories, your awesome cards and very helpful tut, really, you always deliver, hehe. I hate to see I’ve tried digi stuff ‘cept for a couple ones but the thing is with the digi stuff is that I don’t scrap book and even though there are really cool stuff out there, people’s creativity is out of this world with the digi stuff, but I don’t have a good printer and the hubby hasn’t bought colored ink in mths, so really, it’s a moo pt for me. Hopefully in the future my outlook on the digi stuff will change. (sorry for the run-on sentence) Sounds like the scrap book expo was really fun, I missed the one here in July!
Hugs

Love your blog! I have been playing with hybrid cards lately and although I have much more to learn, I’m having a great time.
Add a CommentYou are too sweet, giving away goodies! I have never done hybrid or digital, just traditional! I would love to try it and do some pages of my kids! Maybe you can show us some digital scraping tutorials! You have to do a layout of M and her “Make & Take Booth”! I love that she had her garbage can beside her, never to early to teach them how to be tidy! :)
Add a CommentHello!! You´re amazing… your creations are gorgeous… I’m from Mexico, in my country the scrapbook is begining and the hybrid is the better option because a lot of things are very expensive or you can’t find it easily. -this last is principal cause-
Thanks for this oportunity!! XoXo
Add a CommentWhat great blog candy! I enjoy visiting your blog to see your wonderful creations!
Add a CommentI am glad you had so much fun shopping. she looks so focused in the photo. Looks like you have an inspired girl there.
Add a CommentI’ve been thinking about hybrid, but haven’t quite got there yet.
Add a CommentHow very cute that she made her own make-n-take station. I can’t wait to take my little girl to the local expo…she is 5 and I told her I would take her when she turns 8….maybe I should reconsider and take her sooner.
I have tried digital and hybrid scrapbooking but I don’t have a very good printer and I love shopping for all of my crafting supplies (I love the smell of new papers), so I don’t care for it all that much.
Add a CommentYes, I love hybrid–I’m on The Hybrid Chick team! I’ve been loving what you’ve made with the Sweet Shoppe goodies lately!
Emma is so cute and creative! Her little make n take station is awesome, love kids!!
Add a CommentOh wow!! Blog candy!! YUMMY!
I’ve never tried hybrid yet though this is my last year resolution. I told my then boyfriend last year that I will try to do hybrid scrapbooking once we got married. I even bought the Photoshop CS software but it never got into my computer..lol :)
If you asked me, I would like to have a step by step tut that will guide me through the whole hybrid thing :) Is is too much to ask for??
Oh my! I love M! She’s so adorable! It’s really fun to have a gal like M to keep you company huh? You make me want to have children now. And I want a girl so that we can craft together just like you and M :)
Add a CommentOooh, good loot! Wish I could have gone!! Hmmm, the digi stuff, I’m still undecided. I did buy the SU My Digital Studio, but I barely opened it, played for 5 minutes, and then closed it again! lol! I think I like inky fingers!
Add a Commentcheck out all that delish bloggie candy…and fat free :)
Hybrid stuff…nope, I need to give it a try….
