Hey Cupcake + Jovie Video

My baby’s getting bigger and bigger!! Last night we had the parents as teachers instructor visit and I was so not happy when I had to put Jovie down for tummy time. I haven’t done a lot of it cause I’ve been selfish. I don’t want Jovie to grow up too fast. So we put her down and there was my kid, head pushed up, cooing, AND trying to scoot. NOOOO!!! M grew up way too fast. She walked at 10-mo-old and I want Jovie’s babyhood to last just a tad bit longer cause she’s our last baby… least until we have grandkids. Ahhh, is it just me?
Here’s a video of Jovie just laughing and talking to me. This is why I haven’t been crafting as much… between M and her, there’s always something interesting to do — oh, and sleep {::SMILES}.
And a card…
Just some more hybrid stuff… I used more of the TDC hybrid goodies from the other day (Kelley Mickus and Angela Woo)… just leftovers {::SMILES}.
Have a great one. I hope the video gives you at least a little smile!
Another Christmas Card

Hiya! Just a quickie… here’s a card that we’ll be doing at my SU workshop tonight. It’s simple and not too bulky although I think the knot on the ribbon will require the $.20 extra postage. I did a knot cause it’s easy. BUT, I can see you scrunching up the ribbon and sewing it on to the card or use fabric glue to adhere. I chose to just use one color because a lot of the people in the workshop are new to stamping and many will probably just own a few ink pads and I want to show them that with one pad you can make nice cards.
Ok, gotta go. Been home today and will be off work tomorrow too but very very busy! Tomorrow we have A LOT of paperwork to complete on base for our U.K. move. One appointment is a mental exam. Hmmm, I wonder if I’ll pass. My colleagues are wondering too he he…
A Little Glitz

Do you like Glitz Design’s stuff? I get them in my Scarlet Lime kit now and then and they’re so fun! So, when I saw that Glitz had this digital kit at We Are Story Teller, I had to buy it. Is this LO oh so funky? I felt like a bad ass girl when making this layout ha ha ha… Most everything was from that kit, I think it’s called the Basic kit (and I can’t find it on their site/blog). I did use some paper from Kelley Mickus (I did a hybrid a few post ago), stitches by Vera Lim (I think it was a close-out at Shabby Pickle), staple from one of Kasia’s kit, and the scan tag and overlay (there are two types of black edges around the background paper) from one of Corina Nielsen’s kit (NOTE: it doesn’t matter what format, I am terrible at listing all the materials I use). I wonder if they’ll have more digital stuff in the future. I want more!!
M’s at the zoo today. I think I’m going to take the next two days off. I was thinking of doing half day Thursday but now I’m liking the idea of just staying home Thursday morning and get my SU workshop (for Thursday night) ready tomorrow morning rather than tonight. I’m such a baaaaaaaaaaad demo. I never have any idea on what we’ll be doing until the day before. URGH! There will be 10 people there so a lot of cutting to be done!
Luv You + Corn Kisses

This week the in-laws are here. M’s super excited while Jovie doesn’t care less {::SMILES}. Soon after they arrived, M had this conversation with grandma:
M: Grandma, we had soooooo many cucumbers from our garden. What did you do to make them grow like that?
Grandma: I kissed each seed before I planted it.
M: {Digesting what grandma said} Hmmm, well, I guess you should have kissed the corn seeds too. We only had two good ones.
GM: {Couldn’t stop laughing}
Ahhh, my daughter!
The above card, another hybrid. Whoohoo! I actually bought this kit, Nature Nut, when Angela Woo was at We Are Story Teller… the day before the store closed. I never got to use it until now. The other day I was at the DigiChick looking to see what I wanted to download for this month’s projects and I saw that Angela moved to TDC. Yeah! I LOOOVE her papers! You should check out her store, it’s very nice! So excited that she chose TDC!!!
I’m finally back into the swing of hybrid and digi. I tried doing a digi page the other day but I wasn’t inspired and so I didn’t save it. I’ll just start over again when I feel the motivation. I have TONS of new stuff. Even when my Mac was down I was buying whatever came on sale. I’m so happy too that while I was on leave TDC picked up a few awesome designers. I’ve never heard of Quirky Twerp but this person is going to be my next favorite. Ahhh, her stuff’s just great for hybrid!!
Okie dokie, tata for now. I need to do some grading and work on my CV some more. Laters!

Sorry this is late. Been soooooooooooooooo busy! Seriously!!! Between sleeping at 9 p.m. every night (just COULD NOT keep my eyes open!!) and with other things like cooking (been really into it), grading, and working on my CV (to try out for a Ph.D. program in London), my time has gone out the window! It should be better though after this. This week’s just a crazy one!!I did make a card and took a picture of it but I left he memory card at home. So I’ll do a second post later tonight with it. It’s another hybrid. The paper’s sooooooooo cute.
Cooking… I did make the coq au vin. It took me most of my afternoon but it was so good. It’ll be quicker next time. I’m just super slow when it comes to trying out a new recipe. I don’t want to mess it up too bad ya know. I didn’t do the Alton Brown version cause I wanted to eat the dish that same day {::SMILES}!
Winner of the blog candy is…
Yeah, Jackie!! Congrats! I’ll get in touch with Tina and let her know of your win! Go ahead and oogle her Etsy store in the mean time! Thanks for playing everybody!!!
