Some Color Challenge!

Goodness, Dawn, some colors you got here!!! It was hard!!!!! But I managed something {::SMILES}. I almost forgot I have this SU butterfly template. I love it, so big!!! I’m liking my Martha Stewart punch better too. It sucks that it can’t punch thicker paper, like PTI white paper but when it can, it’s fun. The one I’m still fighting with is the Fiskar punch. I literally have to use all my weight to use it and the result looks crappy looking. Did I get a bad one? Oh, I also used 2sketches4you sketch by Laura for this card. Lovely versatile sketch!!
Nothing new here. It’s now one more week until I go back to work and school starts for M and I. I have one online course that I’m teaching and I’m also taking a photography class. I love working at a university, you get to take college courses for free. M… she’s not super excited about kindergarten. I think she’s kind of nervous. I hope I won’t have to ask her teacher to hold her down while I run for the door. I might have hubby drop her off, she’s not as attached to him as she is to me. We’ll see.
Here’s what we had for breakfast. I’m getting better at it:
I have a few people that I hope to visit this week. One is an old college friend from Idaho and another one is a blog friend who lives in Kansas City. Yes, I’m trying to get over my fear of meeting new people {::SMILES}. Then I have Jovie’s 2 months appt. which includes her first set of vaccines. Poor girl! Have a great day and hope to post more soon!!

I love this! Great use of the colours and the embossed panel looks great against the dark colour…love it!
Add a CommentLove your card. The Butterflies are great. I would call quickutz. I have several of their punches and they are all very easy to use…maybe you got a dud! Good luck with the classes and the vaccinations (at least Jovie won’t remember it!).
Add a CommentWow! what a neat looking card, you managed to pull those colors off, I saw Dawn’s color challenge and figured I couldn’t do it, hehe, they DO look difficult! Love the butterflies, especially the embossing on it! Cute! (Funny cuz we bought made a card for Laura’s sketch, hehe, I just submitted mine) Ooh, photography classes, hmm, sounds very appealing! Have fun, but I dunn think you need the class, (wink)! Next yr I want to take sowing lessons :) Oh, I hope M loves Kindergarten, I remember I loved going to school!

Add a CommentGood luck with you school and with kindergarten, she’ll like it more than she know!
Gorgeous, I love how you combined the colors. Those pancakes look delish!! :)
Add a Commentoooooh! i’ve been cravin some pancakes too! those look so yummie. your card’s so pretty! i have the same punch by martha stewart and i too have to push it like crazy… and it really doesn’t punch through paper with any thickness or texture. i’m disappointed…. also, her little ink queues are a total disappointment. they are great colors, but they don’t stay closed. i would expect more from the martha!
Add a Commenti still remember my first day of Kindergarten…. all the kids were sad and I was running around telling everyone, “don’t be sad! we get to go to school!” maybe you’ll get so lucky with M :O) enjoy your last week off!
Fun photo and great texture on your card. Way to rock Dawn’s color combo.
It’s a good life!
