Apples and Mini

Saturday was a fun day. All of us drove to Kansas City for some shopping and dim sum. My favorite stop was Crate and Barrel. After 6 years of marriage we finally bought us some nice dishes. No more using the ones from our previous marriages {::SMILES}. After Crate and Barrel the girls and I walked across the shopping area while the husband moved the car closer to where we were going. While walking…
M: Mommy, where are we going?
Me: To the Apple store right there (pointing to the Mac store with the huge apple on top of it)
M: Ohhh, do they sell all sorts of apples, mommy?
Me: (In between giggles) Yes, honey. They have lots of shiny yummy Apples.
On our way back we drove behind a Mini – the car.
Hubby: We could never get a mini in Europe. It’d be too small.
Me: Uhuh
Hubby: After us and the kids, there’d be no space for the dogs when we travel.
Me: Uhuh.
Hubby: Unless we get the extended version. Then we can put the dogs and fit a a couple small luggage in there too.
Hubby: {Pause}.
Hubby: I guess we can put them on top of the car.
Me: What? Put the dogs on top of the car?
Hubby: {Flailing his arms up in the air} God please save me!
Hubby: {Looking at me} The luggage. NOT the dogs.
Me: {Laughing my ass off} Ooooooh, the luggage {continue to laugh my ass off}.
Hubby: {I think he’s thinking that he married the WRONG girl}.
Me: {Still laughing my ass off}.
There were a few other laughs but I can’t remember. I think I was laughing so hard my brain got fried. Plus it was so hot that day. Heat index was 115 degrees!!!
Today I have this card to share:
It’s a non-traditional Christmas card. Personally I think it’s got some Christmas colors. You can’t see it in the picture but there are some gold on it. I purchased some gold spray on from Papertrey Ink with my last order. I likey!! The stamps are Stampin’ Up! and the papers are from my scrap pile. The ribbon’s unknown. I think I got it from a fabric store that has now closed down. The twine’s PTI and the scallop punch is Martha Stewart.
Ok, have a GREAT Monday!!! Hope to post again soon! I want to scrapbook so so bad but no mojo!!!

Funny story! I love the Christmas card…it’s perfect for someone special.
Add a CommentThat is so funny. We have had the exact same conversation about the Mini. My son is totally NUTS over them! Thought we contemplated putting the kids on the roof! Heehee!! Oh, and I LOVE Crate and Barrel. I cannot wait to visit the one in Atlanta when we are back in the States. And I LOVE your card! I wish someone sent me a card like that for Christmas!

Add a CommentI must say that I am really a fan of your blog mostly for your crafting talents, but “Mini” really caught my attention to read your story. You’ve got to go check out the Clubman, it will fit everyone in your family and they’re so much fun. My husband and I own 5 Minis (both new BMW models and classic English models) and we LOVE them! Thanks for sharing your life adventures and creativity.
