It’s HOT Here!!

Love

Another page. Love the Collage Press paper that’s used here. So bright and green!!! Just using more of my Scarlet Lime stuff with last year’s Studio Calico leftovers. In the next six months I want to use a lot of my little bits and pieces of paper and embellishments in hopes that I’ll get my stash down a bit. We’ll see how successful that is {::SMILES}.

On the HOT topic… how’s the weather where you’re at? It’s been so hot and humid here. Goodness!!! I think I’m still hormonal too. The hubs and M said they’re comfortable but I’ve just been blasting the AC or hanging out in the basement which is 10 degrees cooler. There’s been wonderful storms here too. A few days ago we had hurricane like wind and storm. Nothing got damaged (just our power went out for a few hours) but it sure was scary.

Okie… going to church. We have a baptismal class to go to for Jovie and then mass. After that we’re taking hubs out to eat. Happy father’s day!!!

Can You Guess…

Where we’ll be in 2010?

London Bridge

Yes, yes, yes!!! The Wilders are heading for another adventure. The husband just got a transfer order to England!!! Ok, we won’t be living in London (we’ll be an hour and half away in Mildenhall) but hey, close enough {::SMILES}. Granted the military sometimes changes its mind (and we’d be uberly disappointed) as of right now this move is what’s going to keep up busy the next few months (besides the regular day-to-day stuff).

I’m going to miss so many things here (my friends, my job — which I LOVE, and lifestyle) we can’t wait to experience European living + traveling and being closer to other great friends who are there now. My big thing is showing the girls more of the world. Oh the places we’ll go once we’re there (I might have to add “travel” to my blog title), but my short list: Holland (this one’s for my grandpa who almost moved there but didn’t), lots of France (just cause I’m in love with that country), Italy (might fall in love here too), Greece, Spain, Turkey, Ireland, Scotland… oh and more! Maybe I might even have time for N. Africa. Wow, I might need to get two full-time jobs and lots of vacation time he he he… Ok, I know it’s not a vacation but still, we’re just that much closer to places we’d love to visit.

So that’s our latest news… off to find out which vet we can take the dogs to so that they can by-pass the British quarantine.

I Finally Scrapbooked

Baby Jovia

I made this while Jovie was laying on my lap. Today she would not let me put her down. Why do babies do that? M did that to me a few times too. It’s like they know they’re not touching mommy’s flesh!!!

So, due to the circumstances the page is very simple. I used the little name sign that I made before Jovie was born, which we got to hang in her bassinet at the hospital, and just a few embellishments. I think it worked out ok. I love the Cosmo Cricket paper that I got from Scarlet Lime. One thing I hate is that it’s a two sided paper and both sides are gorgeous. The picture didn’t come out great… but hope you get the idea {::SMILES}.

Ok, got to go… somebody wants to eat.

Happy Monday!!

Memories that Make Me Smile

Ok, this might be a bit lacey but I had hubby in mind when I created this. What do you think? I was going for the elegant/romantic feel. For him or stash it and make another one? I personally like it, just not sure if it’s right for the hubs. I mean despite the fact that he’s all boy he did go to the ballet with me and loves the softer side of life now and then… like listening to Frank Sinatra all evening long.

Anyhow, I used Dawn McVey’s colors for this week. I don’t have anything that is grass green, just this PTI Ripe Avocado. I think though something more grassy green would make the card a tad bit brighter.

I also want to share some photos from yesterday (I have the case of new mommy syndrome… just wanting to share pics of the family to everybody ha ha). The first was us at the pool… or M and the hubby. M said she was ready to learn how to swim but once we got there she’s as terrified as usual. She cannot get her head underwater and she won’t let us help her float on her back. She’s just so tense. But she loved the lazy river and you can see it from her big smile. We’re trying a new approach next time… goggles. She tried them on and said she’ll be brave with the goggles… we’ll see.

swimming

This second one was last night. I was getting ready for bed and asked M and hubby to watch Jovia. This was what I found when I came back. Hubby said M was kissing her sister and just fell asleep. My two sweet girls!

Flower for You

Have you seen these Flower Soft? That’s what I used for the flowers. Pretty cool!!! I got it yesterday at a local stamp store, Stamper’s Ink, in the Kansas City area. It was really easy to make… I just watched the demo video on their site. There are tons of sites that carries this brand… just Google.

We had a great time yesterday. Here are two pics… M with a special drink at the Japanese restaurant (she gets one every time she goes there… on the house… yeah, the turd’s special… he he he…) and Jovie at one week of age… hogging our bed…

Have a great Sunday! We’re going to the pool!!!
