Paper-work

Ho ho ho!! Ok, not Christmas but I got to start so that I can have enough way before Christmas. So just something quick using some American Craft paper and a sticker sentiment. I was going to stamp but Jovie was on my lap and standing up to find the perfect stamp would mean an unhappy baby and later a tired mommy. The sticker was right on my desk so sticker it was.
The paper-work deal. Goodness, I think for our move to the U.K. two trees have been chopped on our behalf. Hubby has all sorts of information to read (and he’d like it if I read them too) and different forms to fill out and sign and I have the kids, dogs, and house to figure out. Although selling the house is a huge task and the most expensive, getting our dogs cleared for the U.K. without quarantine is quite daunting. They’re not hard and quite reasonable but still nerve wreaking since we’d really hate to miss something and have to quarantine our dog(s) once we get there. So I have all sorts of doggy info all printed out and in a doggy folder for the vet and I to go through.
Ok, going to bed… Jovie’s in her crib. First night!!! Let’s see how long this will last. She’s been napping now and then in there but never longer than 10 minutes. Tonight I’m feeling quite good, got lots of naps, and up to the task of putting her back to sleep if she wakes up. I cranked up the AC, swaddled her, gave her a good swinging and holding time, I rolled around on her crib (to get my smell in there ya know — I use to sleep with M in her crib but I feel too heavy right now for that. I wonder if there’s a weight limit on that thing?), and gently put her in the crib and patted her a bit soon after. So far, it’s been more than 10 minutes!!

hey, I’m first to comment! Woo Hoo….!
Love this Christmas card! And good luck on baby Jovie sleeping in the crib :) Hope it turns out great!! :)
Add a CommentGo Jovie… you can do it! :-) We’re trying to move my 1.5 yr old back OUT of our room. He has been the most horrible sleeper. He slept in his own bed, but we had to eventually just move it into our room b/c of how often he woke up at night. We’re trying him down the hall again. Last night he only fussed once, and was fine after some consoling. Tonight, so far so good.
And look at you! I’ve been thinking about Christmas cards, but I’m afraid that come December, I’ll look at them in disgust, wondering why I would even give it away (my style is really evolving a lot here lately). Then all the new yummy Christmas stuff will come out, I’ll spend more money and inherit a crazy deadline and make new cards…lol! But that’s just me. :-) Anyhow, I definitely should NOT wait til the last minute to get started. So.. as I was saying, kudos to you for getting started! :-)
Ok, I’m beat…g’night!
Add a CommentHmmm… I left a huge comment and don’t see it. Oh well… I came back to say – I LOVE that ribbon! :)

Add a CommentLove this simple layout! I would have never put those papers/colors together, but the card looks great! Kudos on still crafting while Jovie is still in your lap! You are a superwoman! Submit this card for publication, it’s CUTE! I hope she made it in her crib! Great idea on rubbing your scent in there!
Add a CommentThis is an awesome simple card! Love it Savitri.
GL with the crib thing! After out first topped out nursery (that our baby never slept in) we didn’t even own a crib! So, 4 babies slept with us…..I usually booted them out between 1 and 2 yrs….but if you nurse. Sleeping with the babes is the only way to get any sleep IMO! I nursed 4 babies for the total 7 1/2 yrs. EEK….thats over half of my 20’s. No wonder I was tired all the time. lol
Add a Commentcute cute! you’re funny, a holiday card already! Usually the hardest part for me is to figure out what sketch to use! Hope Jovie slept in her crib! How exciting though right? The thought of living in Europe! Don’t worry all the paper work will be worth it once you’re there! Gunna miss u!

I guess it’s not easy to leave everything behind and start anew in a foreign country. But it’s worth it when you are with your family, right?
