Here’s a little bookmark that I made for me using a Mari K. kit at The DigiChick: Moroccan Sunset. It’s only $2 but boy does it have a lot of goodies in there!!!
Yesterday we went to a picnic at a farm. We had a really great time! We are a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) member and we get our grass fed meat from a local farmer (45 minutes away). Every year he has a picnic at his home and this was our first. Besides yummy food (a lot of foodies are members of this farmer’s CSA and so we got to sample some awesome and very different dishes) and a tour of the farm we got to play with the baby farm animals. M even got to feed the lambs. So so cute!!! Here are some pics…
That was our Saturday. We slept in, ate, cooked for the potluck picnic, met new people, ate a lot, and enjoyed a little bit of farm animals. If you are not a CSA member or local farmer’s market goer go online or ask around (that’s how we found our meat farmer) and see if there are local farmers (veggies/meat) that you can buy locally from. The summers for us are so nice. We have an abundance of local harvest around here (you should see the glorious yolk from the eggs that we get a mile from us or the best looking green beans from a family down the road). Not only do they taste better we’re also supporting those in our community.
I have a few other things to share but I haven’t taken any photos of them so it’ll have to wait until tomorrow!!!

very cute bookmark! I like the butterfly and the flowers! And what cool pics, they’re cute with M and the baby lams, just adorable! We go to Boulder Farmer’s MArket (just 15mins away) and we love it. It’s not a big one but the people are friendly and have tons of goodies, yummy! Colorado has a lot of local grown goodies at many store. Mostly we go to Whole Foods as well, they have fresh veggies from our local farmers too. Happy Sun!
Clouds :D

Add a CommentGorgeous bookmark! I love the butterflies so much! And I think it’s totally awesome that you buy your meat and produce locally. That is just way cool! Here in Morocco everything is fresh as well. They still bring the produce in on donkey carts every day! Oh, and M suddenly looks very grown up!
