Insomnia

And it’s not me… it’s hubby. I’ve actually been getting great sleeps the last couple days. Monday I emailed him at work and told him my sleeping time was awesome and he replied with this:
“I did not sleep.
At all.
I lay there all night watching the clock tick time away.
I want to kill that clock.
It mocks me all night with
its smug attitude and astro-green numerals.
I hate how it just turns itself on at 0515 as if to say
“Get up right now asshole.
I know you did not sleep at all
but now it is finally time to give up and start your day.”
Oh how I long to rid myself of that scourge, that unsympathetic
digital sentry that keeps watch over me throughout the night.
Such an unholy and unforgiving device,
faithfully carrying out its duty without regard!
Oh how I fear and loathe it’s robotic gaze each time the moon rises!
Oh how I pull my hair and gnash my teeth upon each inaudible tick
as I am shown visible proof of my insomnia!!!
Oh sweet relief,
remove this terror from my daily burden!!!”
I love his writing style. He writes this way every so often to me. Cracks me up each time. I think she should take more writing classes and also literature… what do you think? {::SMILES}.
Here’s a card for 2S4Y, Laura’s #25. I used a lot of scraps for this card. Even the ribbon… I only trimmed the edges. I didn’t know where I was going with this card. I just knew I wanted to use that pattern paper and the Damask. I like it and it’s going to a special couple.

I agree, great poem…fab card too!
Add a Commentgorgeous card Savitri…it’s even more gorgeous since you used scraps..I’m not so good about using my scraps…you’ve inspired me though…your hubby is one heavy duty writer…that’s some good stuff.
