Lazy Weekend

Best Wishes

Hmmm… I have nothing to say, ha! I did but my brain just quit on me (hubby and M kept telling me I have preggo brain). But here’s a card for Kristina’s color challenge #50: brown, red, turquoise, yellow, and white. I love the colors. It’s funny too, I did this color combo just recently too: Mother. I used the same pattern paper for this card, a digital paper by Matahati Designs: Girly Girl. The rest, just bits of things that were on my table: American Craft Moda Bella paper (the yellow leaves) that I trimmed out and chipboard, SU ribbon and stamp set (which I then punch with Martha Stewart’s butterfly punch), pin from Scarlet Lime, beads, rick-racks, Cuttlebug dot template, and PTI sentiment.

This is a card for hubby’s friend who is getting married next month but I might make another one for the occasion. It seems too busy and I don’t know them. The invite we received was simple so I might just save this for somebody else and create something more elegant and simple. What do you think? Hubby hasn’t seen this but he’ll probably agree with me.

  1. wow Savitri! This card is amazing, I'm sure you'll be one of the winners for this challenge! the butterflies, thered ribbon and the yellow leaves are amazing! And it's not busy at all. The buttons are a great add ons too! p.s: I'm hoping to make a card for the challenge as well but I'm still trying to figure out a sketch... Take it easy, Clouds :o)
  2. I love everything about this card!! so many things that pulls this card together but your not confused!! its great!!
  3. I love this card! Gorgeous as always! I love your recent scrappy pages too! Your little M is just too cute! Oh, and I totally can identify with your "butt" incident with your hubbie. Mine always just stares at me with the "there is no good answer to that question" look. Gotta love 'em!
  4. Oh, this is STUNNING Savitri!! Seriously sooo beautiful! You have such a way with throwing together all these great individual elements and make them all look they belong together. If I tried to put those same things together it'd look like a jumbled pile of crap!
  5. This is so pretty! I like the dimension and all the little details (like the butterflies). I don't think it's too busy.
  6. Savitri, your cards are always spectacular! Thanks for your very sweet comment. I absolutely love all of the layers and textures you incorporated. Thanks for sharing!
  7. Stunning piece! Love the bright colors. You did great with the challenge! Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a sweet comment. I appreciate it :)
  8. Like everyone else, I think this card is amazing. However, what I really want to comment on is your statement that "he (hubby) will probably agree with me." Ha! By now, we all know you have the most amazing husband. Since you are 8 months pregnant and an incredible spitfire . . . if he's smart (which he is) and he knows what is good for him (and he does), he better agree with you! :-)
  9. thank you for your comment on my page' wow! your card is amazing' i agree! you will be 1 of the top ten for sure'... well it doesnt matter, your already on my top ten! hehe take care! -er from the Philippines
