Lazy Week

Celebrate You

This is the only card I’ve done this week (SU stamps, PTI ribbon, MS punch, October Afternoon DP, American Craft felt flower, and CB template). Just no mojo. I have been spending a few minutes here and there on the massage cushion tho. I got it years ago for hubby and since Sunday, my upper back has been hammered (it felt like it anyhow) by this cushion. The first day after my back was sore but after that, I felt awesome. Yesterday I tried a different sitting position and if I put it on Shiatsu mode and put the balls on the very bottom of the back cushion it will hit my left/right (can’t do both) butt just right. My muscles have been so sore there too and goodness, the cushion is my new best friend!!!!!

The hubby… he’s been awesome. Yesterday he cleaned the downstairs. Our main floor is very open. The living room, dining, and kitchen is in one area basically and he put things away and made our daily space very nice. He also offered to get pizza (I was craving it a few days ago) from my favorite place (called Fitters) and let me eat on the couch while getting my back massaged. YUM!!! He’s been doing more of the below too:

Drew Cooking

M took this picture and the dinner: DELICIOUS!!! He subscribes to Men’s Health and they’ve got some easy, healthy, and good recipes — the perfect recipes for the daily men {::SMILES}. This was a pasta dish he was working on. I’m so so glad he’s mine {::SMILES}.

Have a great one!

My Sketch and 2S4Y Card

2S4Y Sketch

Thank You

Hiya!! Today I am honored to present to you my very first card sketch. It’s for 2S4Y bonus sketch for this week. It’s a simple sketch that I think can be very versatile. I can’t wait to see what you make from it! This is also my last card as part of their spring DT (::SNIFF). It’s been soooo much fun!!!! This card was created using a stamp set from: Norsk Stempelblad AS, which is this week’s sponsor. The base is cardboard from a box that I painted using Gesso and inked up with SU chocolate chip.

How was your weekend? Mine was relaxing but seems like all my special gadgets need fixing. My iMac won’t power up. When it does, it’s only for a bit and then dies. I reset everything but still does it. My geek-clusion: Need new power supply aka $250-$350 will be spent at the Mac store. The best part… JUST out of warranty.

My new lens only works on manual. Ok, it does auto but sometimes. Glad Amazon has a nice return/exchange policy. I’ve only used it twice, this one and the coffee maker we got (we think the UPS man dropped it) but each time has been great. My replacement lens should be delivered today and I have to remember to ship mine back.

Last but not least… I am working from home. Why? Hubby’s truck won’t work. Granted it’s not mine it effected me because hubby had to take my car. Jane… where’s Jane? Oh yes, the ‘62 Impala is tire-less… or is it wheel-less… she ain’t got no front feet, how’s that? He took the two front to paint… the metal part. They just have primer on them. Guess he’ll have to figure something out. Oh, the part that’s not working… he knew they needed fixing but they’re still in the mail. Awesome, huh?

Have a great week. Hopefully your weekend was relaxing AND luckier than ours.

Lazy Weekend

Best Wishes

Hmmm… I have nothing to say, ha! I did but my brain just quit on me (hubby and M kept telling me I have preggo brain). But here’s a card for Kristina’s color challenge #50: brown, red, turquoise, yellow, and white. I love the colors. It’s funny too, I did this color combo just recently too: Mother. I used the same pattern paper for this card, a digital paper by Matahati Designs: Girly Girl. The rest, just bits of things that were on my table: American Craft Moda Bella paper (the yellow leaves) that I trimmed out and chipboard, SU ribbon and stamp set (which I then punch with Martha Stewart’s butterfly punch), pin from Scarlet Lime, beads, rick-racks, Cuttlebug dot template, and PTI sentiment.

This is a card for hubby’s friend who is getting married next month but I might make another one for the occasion. It seems too busy and I don’t know them. The invite we received was simple so I might just save this for somebody else and create something more elegant and simple. What do you think? Hubby hasn’t seen this but he’ll probably agree with me.

Is This a Compliment… Or Not?

Our Girl

I guess, I’m learning here, certain things should just be kept unanswered. Or just plain DON’T ASK. A few nights ago I was feeling giddy and asked hubby: Do I still have a sexy butt (I was in flannel jammies, with the pants over my stomach… like Charlie Chaplin… and posing like a model sideways… I looked ridiculous)? FYI — I never had one but again, I was feeling silly that night. He looked at me and said: Yes, it’s sexier… there’s more of it. I stopped and looked at him. I think I looked like a cocker spaniel… cocker spaniels tilts their heads back and forth when they’re analyzing something… at least mine did. Then I asked: Was that a compliment or did you just say I have a big butt? He just looked at me and smirked. He plead the Fifth. I couldn’t get any answer out of him and somehow we ended up laughing. What do you think?

So here’s my last project from last weekend – our silly girl – I’m telling you, she LOVES to pose. I have NOT done anything this week. I started but just not motivated and I’ve been tired more lately too. I used up my last purchase from Archivers, the Fancy Pants paper. This is also a hybrid page. I used my leftover from Matahati Designs (Scrap Orchards, Vintage Charm) which is the diamond paper, the tag and the fairy over the tag. There are some K&Co stuff too and a flower pattern paper that I cut out some while back but never used. See those flowers? The last ones from my oooold Prima pack. I also did some stamping… see the SU Organic Garden? I was going to use the flower and leaf for a card but they didn’t work out well and there they are.

Have a GREAT weekend! Hopefully I’ll get some mojo for at least the 2S4Y card that I’m sketching and creating a sample for next week. It’s my LAST DT card for 2S4Y and my week to create a sketch for them. So check both out Monday!!! Oh, 5.5 more weeks until I pop this baby out. YEAH!

Noodle

Noodle

My M wanted this photo taken. She’s silly that way. So here she was, in her fancy dress, with a ramen noodle sticking out of her mouth. Yes, it’s her favorite junk food. Since it’s earth day today I thought it’d be appropriate to use at least something recycled. So for this page I used the cardboard of a paper pack and the butterflies came from an old sheet note. Everything else… all from my stash. I used up the rest of the Matahati paper (from the DgiChick) on this page. I love how pink it is. I think this is my favorite page this year.

Speaking of the girl, she’s so sweet. Opposite of the turkey butt comment. The other day I looked at myself in the mirror and said, “Woah, I look fat.” Probably not a good thing to say in front of a kid but the words just came out. M was brushing her hair and she looked at me, gave me the up-down, and said, “Mommy, you don’t look fat. You still look beautiful.” Ahhhhh, that made my day! She’s still my sweet M {::SMILES}.
