Oh Shit!

I am a BAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDD mom!!!!! I totally forgot to take M, and the whole family really, to her first day of kindergarten orientation. URGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! We were all looking forward to it too. I mean there are five more but yesterday evening was the first one where she would meet the teachers and get a tour of the school. I’m going to hate me for a little while now!!!
I forgot to put it in the calendar. Then the whole no sleep got me and well… really I had no excuse. I’m just a bad bad mommy!!! Oh if only she knew what happened!!! We missed it {::SNIFF SNIFF}.
The good news, hubby and I were at M’s tea party. She was so so happy. Especially since hubby’s appearance was unexpected and he came in all dressed up in his Air Force blues. She showed us her manners very very well and we were so proud of her (she was proud of herself too).
So that’s it. I have a card too. It was from card night at my upline’s some Wednesday ago. I never know what I used at her events but here it is. Everything’s SU.

Check out these pics…
I wrote last Monday that on Sunday I took a long long nap and the hubby and M baked cupcakes. There are a few more shots but these are two of my favorite pictures of their activities. Look at that face!!!! I’ll be scrapping this set for sure… when I find the mojo for it. Just lost it. Last scrappy day was the crop in January.
I don’t feel like doing much today. My lack of sleep is killing me. I am still awake. It’s 11 p.m. I’ll probably be up at 4 a.m. again… ahh…No more craft for me until maybe Sunday. We have an exchange student this weekend and I’ll be picking her up after work. I plan on being out and about with her and M. Hubby has a volunteer thing in the city — judging some band/ROTC event. We’ll meet him for dinner but until then, it’ll be mostly us girls Saturday.

Is It JUST Wednesday?

I really want it to be Friday! I am soooo tired. Not that I’ve worked extra hours but I cannot for the life of me get some good sleep. I’d be in bed early, 10:30 p.m., and I’d be up at 3 or 4 a.m. wide awake and could not go back to sleep. Last night I went to bed at midnight. I wasn’t sleepy. I figured it’d knock me out until 6:30 a.m. NOOOOO. I was awake at 4 a.m. Urgh!!!
Enough of that… here’s a card I created using Lulu’s sketch at 2S4Y. Last week I didn’t have time to do the bonus sketch so I was quite pleased when everybody went to bed at 9 p.m. last night and I could do two cards. This one is for hubby. He is getting promoted this Friday and he finally graduated with his associates degree. He actually completed all his course requirements a couple years ago but that man could not get his papers together. Ahhh… The last few years he’s been taking classes to finish up his B.S. (although he’s already a master at BS-ing) and so hopefully in the near future we’ll be celebrating the big graduation. He passed his promotion exam months ago too, last year, but the Air Force is weird that way. I’m not sure I’m going to the ceremony. He’s never gone and has been trying to find a way to get out of it. I don’t think he can though for this one. M and I are already booked for a tea party, but I’m not exactly sure what time, and even hubby thinks M’s tea party is more important. So if I can make it to both we’ll go to both events but if not, I’ll be at the tea party. M’s been very excited about it, she’s been practicing her tea party manners, and scooping up extra points to show me on Friday. We can’t let her down for an event that came at the last minute. Hubby knows how proud we are even if we don’t show up.
So, counting down ’til Friday. Maybe this weekend I can sleep in a bit although we will have guest, an exchange student from Panama. Any idea on what to do with a teenager?

Active Baby

Ok, for you moms… is an active baby in the womb an indication that you’ll never get anything done once the kid is mobile? M moved but she was pretty mellow compared to #2. After she started moving she was busy but I could always get her to sit down. The current one keeps me awake at night. I have trouble sleeping because she’d just be squirming in there. In the daytime, I feel like she’s wanting to get out because she moves so much. So what do you think?
This card is a simple one. I used my SU die-cuts again. Same ‘ol stuff the last few days but they’re just so fun to play with. The ribbon is Martha Stewart and the pearl center is K&Co but everything else is SU.

How was your weekend? Mine was LAAAAZY!!! Saturday we stayed in our jammies, made one card, and played. In the evening we went out for some sushi. Sunday… well I had great plans, cleaning mostly, but around noon time I got really tired and fell asleep. I didn’t get up until 4 p.m. and when I woke up, hubby and M were cuddling and napping too. BUT, while I was asleep they tidied up, did some laundry, AND baked cupcakes!! Woah!!!!! So you can probably guess what I did soon after I woke up — ha ha, CUPCAKES!!!!
For this card I used the acetate and tag from CCM. THe pattern paper is October Afternoon. I pretty much followed Laura’s sketch for the inside of the card. The paper portion of the card is just a single 4.25×5.5 card. The stamp and die-cut was from Stampin-Up (the stamp is an SAB set) and on the bottom, I added some itty bitty pom-poms and twine. The pom-pom was adhered using fabric glue and the twine I tied and then adhered using glue dots. The huge ribbon is Martha Stewart and the “HI” is American Craft.
