A Year and So Later

This card is one I made last year when I kind of got started stamping again. I liked it then but now… it looks kind of blah, ha ha! Looking back, I think I’ve had a few style changes. The only thing that sticks is the simplicity… although I’ve experiment a bit with a lot of layers.
I also have a scrapbook page that I did last year. Ahh… the first digi that I ever did using somebody else’s kit. It was a freebie from Shabby Princess.
In the scrapbook area I have definitely changed. I went from symmetrical to whatever I want as long as I think it looks good. I am almost to where I want to be too in terms of how many pages I want to complete. I have been so behind and I told hubby that one of my 2008 goal is to do as many of M’s pages as I can before #2 shows up.
I want to do a few more but I am way beyond what I had in 2007 so nonetheless still quite happy. I am also surprised at how many digi tuts I’ve produced. I know that I got tired or lazy of making them but it was fun and I learned a lot. Part of the reason I did the tuts was work related. I never have time to play with video and editing and so I kind of took work home but instead of boring work videos, I created videos on something I am more interested in. I’m glad they’ve been useful. I hope to add more but for now… I have no motivation.
How have you evolved in the last year? When I visit people’s blogs I like to check out their very first post, especially if they’ve been blogging for a year or so and I love their current style. I am always curious to see how they’ve grown.
I’ll share some new stuff tomorrow. Today, I just want to reminisce {::SMILES}.

Savitri…I love this post! I’m so surprised in a year’s time how much we all can grow. I’ve done something similar – browsing first posts and comparing them to current posts. I’ve noticed progression with everyone and definitely myself! But, you…you were always great!

I started my blog just a few months back but I started making cards for almost a year Looking back at the cards I made earlier, I noticed that my style changed drastically. I used to like them back then but now…..like what you said “it looks kind of blah”…haha. In total, I’d created about 100 cards! I never thought a short trip to a srapbook store last year would changed my life completely. I never have any hobby before nor passionate about something. But card making changed all that.
