Random Stuff

Ok, for today, no craft to share. I made something last night but I haven’t taken pictures of it. So, I thought I’d post a few random things about me. Amy (the oh so talented gal) tagged me and I thought I’d play along…
1. If I could, I’d travel all the time and eat as many local cuisines as possible.
2. I rather sleep late and wake up late.
3. I wish I can go back to college as a traditional student and stay in a bit longer. Graduating with two degrees in three and a half years was too quick.
4. I love to learn different languages, even if I suck at them.
5. I love eating in the middle of the night… at least until my metabolism slows down on me, ha!
6. I am a tree hugger… or I try to be.
7. I don’t like eating beef after knowing how a cow gets processed but man, in the last few weeks, all I can think of is hamburger!! Must be the baby! I am buying beef, and other meat (CSA/local meat share), from a local grass farmer. It’ll make me feel better, I think {::SMILES}.
Ok, so who do I want to tag… hmm… ok, these fabulously talented ladies:
1. Chloe
2. Brooke
3. Sunkari
4. Catherine M
5. AnnMarie
6. Kim aka RadioGirl
7. Tina aka TravelingMama
What a Holiday

Today’s shopping was a success. My only mistake was going to Joann’s before noon. The line was loooooooooong and I only had 12 felt, 4 embroidery thread, and fabric glue. I should have left, not sure why I didn’t, since I had to stop at HB anyhow (which was so quiet in comparison). The rest… well, I can see tomorrow’s headline: Sales Down by x%. I went to the Pottery Barn Kids and it didn’t have anymore people than a regular weekend. Parking was a breeze too and I didn’t almost kill anybody (the Plaza is an outdoor mall). Usually that place is insane during the holidays. Lunch was great too at the Blue Koi… dumpling noodle soup and oolong tea, yum!!
The amazing part… I am done shopping! Between today’s outing and the Internet, we got everything. For once, we’re early. I do have a few items that I’m making that I need to get started on but they’re extra. Without them we’ll be ok. Our Christmas stuff is almost up too. I’m pooped. Will finish tomorrow.
Alright, have a great one. The above is just hubby and I in 2003. I was about three months pregnant with M, that’s why his hand was on my stomach. The photographer wasn’t too into that hand being there. Oh well. The items were from Scarlet Lime. It’s my November kit.
Kristina’s Color Challenge
Posted on | November 26, 2008 | 22 Comments
Here’s mine for this challenge. Love the colors! It’s Riding Hood Red, Sahara Sand/Metallic (I chose the sparkly silver SU embossing powder), Very Vanilla, and Whisper White.
I did think of doing a Christmas card but instead I got this. The berries I cut out from a Making Memories paper and the button is from Rhonna Farrer’s Christmas pack. The ribbon was from one of the big craft stores and I did some paper piercing beside the embossing.
Today I got my turkey brined. I need to turn it over in the morning and then we’ll be cooking. It’s just the three, or four, of us. Our first Thanksgiving without company. I thought this would be our second but hubby reminded me that other one was Christmas.
Hope your Thanksgiving will be a great one. I think I will be out Friday. I’m not sure why since the stores I’m going for has no early bird sale; I think I’m just itching to shop and feel the festivities. M’s staying home with dad, whoopie! She loves to shop with me but she does get a bit impatient when she already have all her stuff purchased. It’ll be nice to just shop alone.
Alright, have a GREAT Thanksgiving!! I have a few awards I want to pass on and some random facts about me tag but I’ll post those next time.
It’s Almost Thanksgiving!

My work week is short too, my last day is today for the week. M has a little party at school tomorrow and I’ll be bringing in some green bean casserole. In the afternoon… dunno, maybe do some shopping but we’ll see. I’m debating whether or not to go Friday. I’ve always gone, not to the super super early one but just go shopping in general. I never have a problem. Yes it’s a bit more busy but I’ve never had to fight for anything with anybody. Maybe because I don’t go to store that has those popular black Friday deals? I need to go to Hobby Lobby because they have a (Copic) marker sale and then to PB kids to pick something up for M. Then around the corner I’d LOVE to get me some Cheese Cake Factory something… but that’s prob. going to be packed unless I show up at 2 or 3 p.m. he he… hmmm… I’m drooling already and on a regular day, I’m not a pastry person. There use to be a French bakery there, but dang they closed!!! Made me mad!!
Anyhow, here’s my card using some American Craft goodness that I bought at my lss a few weeks ago. The snowflake was punched using a Martha Stewart punch and the be merry is an SU stamp. The ribbon I bought from this lady who’s selling a bunch of her stuff. I got a box full of misc. ribbons for $5. Sweet deal for a ribbon freak like me… I swear I have enough but I keep buying ribbons! I punched the snowflake from that stripe paper. I used dimensionals to give it a lift. I thought I’d give this idea a try and it’s not that bad looking.
Alright, have a great one and hope most of you have a short week this week if you’re a working gal like me. Laters!
Waiting

Before I go on, I want to let you know that I will post a few baby news here and there here but I’ve started another blog just for our upcoming new addition. I’ll post products, parenting info and more… whatever I find that I can share and also as a pregnancy journal (since I’m horrible with a paper one).
This page was created using a sketch by SoSketchy. M and Shady were fighting over the right corner spot, the best (closest is best to them) spot to look at dad who was working outside. They both were waiting for him to come in. Look how rough M was to Shady and Shady did move for her. Ahh… naughty M.
Alright, have a great week and I’ll post more later!!
