Wednesday Bloggin’

Season's Greetings I really have no creative title for today’s blog post. Plus, I had my yearly exam with two gallons of blood it seemed taken out of me which I think is causing my brain to be lazy. The doc gave my thyroid a bit of an “hmmmm” so that was checked too. We’ll see what the hmmmm meant.

Here’s a little Christmas card using my new stamp set from SU. I love the house and the sentiment. I’m not sure what to do with the bird but I guess it’ll come or it’ll always be brand new. The pattern paper was from theDigiChick, Crystal’s design. One printout three cards, not bad and again, fun set.

What do you think, does it feel Christmasy or the black kind of change the feel? I like it but I think the black might turn some people off.

My parents got a tour of our little town. Not a whole lot to show but we’ll do more of the downtown this weekend, homecoming weekend, and we’ll be watching the parade… actually M is in the parade. Her school will have a little float. Will have pictures! {::SMILES}.

Speaking of… my dad accidentally deleted the pictures from his digital camera. So guess what… besides the three photos that Disney took we have no Disney photos of M. So bummed! But, the three are great photos so for now, they will do.

Ok, have a great evening! We have the fire going tonight. Lovely!

I Am Back!!!

Peaceful Wishes And taking a day off to recuperate. I have both parents here so we have a full house!!

Thanks for participating in my blog candy! I will draw the winner this afternoon. Right now I’m going to make us a big brunch. Hubby’s at the store buying some stuff.

Despite the camera issue, we had a great time. My dad took tons of pictures and so I think somewhere in the pile I’ll be able to find 2-3 that are nice to scrapbook. I also have three pictures that I liked by the photographers at Disney. They’re spendy but M’s expression on one at least was priceless. She had her eyes clothes with a huge smile when hugging Princess Minnie. Soooo sweet. When I get to scrapbooking some of the pics I’ll tell you more Disney stories.

Here’s a little card to share. I made this before I left but besides that one blog post while in LA I just haven’t been online much. I used the new in colors from SU, a new stamp set (the leave) and an old (the sentiment). I’ll edit my post when I get my bum upstairs… I have no idea what stamp sets they are.

I Am in LA

Thank Your And my stinkin’ camera bag is in Missouri. AARRGGGGGGGG!!!! I left it on the kitchen counter. ARGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!! I am so pissed at myself for leaving the bag behind. I think it’d be better if I left my luggage behind than my camera bag. So here I am, a friggin tourist and plus the wedding where M is the flower girl and I have no camera. I can either get a disposable or use my parents 3.0 digital camera that can’t handles movement. Ahhhh….

So here we are, in our hotel room, relaxing. Wuih! What a day!!! The flight from Kansas City to Chicago was short and sweet but from Chicago to LA… four long, bum and back soaring, hours! But we’re here, met up with my family and now we’re ready for some shut eyes.

Before I go, I want to share this card. I used the same paper pack by Crystal from the DigiChick. I did some clear embossing but I forgot to use my anti static powder and so i didn’t get a clean emboss. Not too happy but it doesn’t look too bad since not a lot is showing. I think I made better use of the Upsy Daisy set from SU. I love that Red Riding Hood color. So pretty!!

Okie, gnight. I can’t keep my eyes open. I just want to check in and share my oh so bummed no-camera day.

Pride and Prejudice

Chrstmas Card Before I take off, I have a little card to share and this card is inspired by my very good blog friend Sankari and her new challenge site: Cinema Saturday. What is it? It’s a card inspo site based on movies and this week’s movie is Pride and Prejudice. I LOVE Jane Austen stories (that’s why M’s name is Emma, ha!) and so I had to play along.

Here is something soft and lacy and curvy. This is what I think of when I watch a Jane Austen movie. I love the style of that era! The paper is a digital paper from theDigiChick: Creativity by Crystal (when I get back I will be downloading more of her paper!!!). This pack is super fun and I have two more cards that I did with the kit.

This might be my last post until I get to California. It’ll be super busy, so busy that my hair cut is at 7 p.m. the night before we leave. Yikes! M’s already to go. She’s got all her clothes ready and the few waking hours she has left at home will be spent on trying to decide which baby doll, books (the child is a bookworm), and toys to bring. I told her not a lot of toys since we’ll be out and about a lot. When we went to Indonesia she packed her backpack all by herself and I forgot to peak in. I’m glad that everything passed security!! This time I’ll look {::SMILES}.

Ok, have a great Monday and week!! Hope to post again in the next few days, maybe with some cool photos. Oh, don’t forget the blog candy. It’s on the top page (a sticky) of my blog.

Happy Sunday

First Day I dug out some old photos and did a quick page using some of my Studio Calico kit. I’m not sure which month.

This was M and dad the morning after she was born. She was so sweet and still is. Here’s a funny story though. The first few days she didn’t have that loud of a cry. Hubby said, “I can handle this, she’s not so loud.” Ha! That was a trick, an evil evil trick because the first day we were home she cried and cried and cried. LOUD too! So imagine two adults, flipping through three how-to “baby manual” books. Finally we found the off button on one of the books, it was the “Happiest Baby on the Block” book. We swaddled, we swung, we sushed, and a few other things and she was quiet. WOW! Two hours later we all went to bed. But, ever since that night there was no more soothing cries. All her cries have been LOUD and a few times she cried so hard she turned purple. We had to swat her bottom or her back a bit to get her to breath. Scary! Thankfully we only had a handful of those!!!

Ok, hope your weekend has been nice! We’ll be making two pans of lasagna for Community Supper this weekend. It’s our turn again to help feel those in need. Laters!
