I’ve been wanting to do a 2Sketches4You sketch but just haven’t had the chance to until now. Not quite centered like the sketch but close… or at least I think it’s close {::SMILES}.

Just another Christmas card using last year’s set. Still love it. Quite a dimensional card too and heavy. I love that feel sometimes! I was going to scor more on this card since the sponsor for this week is Scor-It but decided not to and just stick to the usual clean cut look. Did I tell you I love my It? More than the Pal? It just scors so so well and I am ok with measuring and moving my paper now that I get a really good feel of the two. Plus it feels so sturdy too! So now I use the It and M uses the Pal.

The pattern paper is a digital paper, Hey Chickie, from Nikki Beaudreau at TDC (visiting) or Shabby Pickle. I love her stuff since they’re usually so colorful and they just print so well.

A Hybrid 6×12 Page

Mimzy Well, if it wasn’t for Ally at SoSketchy, I wouldn’t be creating a layout this size. So to give me more space, I laid my pictures so that they are coming off the edges. What do you think?

This time around I used a lot of digital hybrid… or at least the cute little elements from Nancy Kubo (Ink-a-Rama and Little Owl, PS: there is a 40% off sale today!!!) and the black borders from Lydia are hybrid products. The cutie pies I printed on cardstock and Lydia’s borders on transparencies. I also used some stuff from my June Scarlet Lime kit. Just very little.

Well, got to go… I have a mini scrapbook class that I’m teaching at the lss. Not quite happy with my mini but oh well. I’ll cake on some more embellishments later when I’m done with the class. I have a few things saved in my Etsy favorites, I think it’ll fit the mini quite well {::SMILES}.

Oh, have you seen the movie Mimzy? The little girl, her name is Emma Wilder. That’s why M’s rabbit is called Mimzy too {::SMILES}.

Bad Blog Friend

Cherish Well, I’ve been a baaad blog friend. I have just been soooo busy that I haven’t been browsing the Net much and checking out everybody’s awesome creations. My parents are coming and we’re trying to finish up the basement amongst other things. It’s been better though so hopefully tonight I’ll have some Net and scrappy time (yes, need scrappy time!!!).

But, I did manage to sneak in some card time and here’s what I came up with… (if you’re using Internet Explore you might want to refresh if the image is small looking). I used a new set, Flowers for All Season, and my good old sentiment (one of my favorites). Everything is SU’s except for the ribbon and the hemp. There is white scalloped paper under the ribbon. You can’t see it well in the picture but when you hold it in front of you it gives the card a nice splash of freshness — if such thing exist. I used Kristina’s colors again. My fave!!

Ok… got to go. I am thinking of getting a new phone. Love the Nokia N95 but oh so expensive. So thinking of the iPhone or the MotoQ 9h. Although I am leaning more towards the Moto just because I can sync it with my Outlook and GroupWise work email. I like the iPhone just because it’s a Mac OS and yes it does look slick. But, I’m pass the getting something just because it looks cool. I need functionality and the most for the buck. I’m looking to replace my HP IPAQ PPC and super old cell phone. Plus the Moto has a GPS. Let me know if you have thoughts on the two.

Hubby’s Work Reads My Blog

So Very Missed Or our house is wired or I am just jinx or simply not a lucky person when it comes to planning. Let me just say, 90% of the time when I plan something huge for the family, it never happens. We live on spontaneity and I am not a spontaneous person. I don’t live on a schedule but I live on planning and researching. Being spontaneous doesn’t give me a lot of time to plan and research.

Anyhow, we’ve been planning this trip to California in October. October 15th to be exact. My sister’s getting married and my parents are coming in from Indonesia. While we’re there we are also going to visit Disneyland and some beach… we’re thinking New Port/Huntington beach at this time since they’re not far from Anaheim. Just one that M can run around in and play — it’s what she’s always wanted. The day before I bought the ticket hubby called from work asking if I bought the tickets. I said no and he told me he can’t go because there’s a training course he has to go to. URGH!!!!

So here’s my card for the occassion… “will be” So VERY missed. He’s bummed because he won’t be able to see M’s reaction at Disneyland and the beach. She’s already sooooo excited about it. She asked me how many more days and I told her that it’s all her fingers, her toes and my fingers. She was sad. Today I told her that it’s all her fingers, her toes, and nine of my fingers. That got her excited he he…

The good news, the dogs don’t have to stay at the kennel and be all mopey when we return, ha!

Alright. Got to go! Card’s pretty simple, SU everything but the pattern paper and ribbon. The paper is a new one from Three Bugs. Oh, I used my Scor-It for the lines above the pattern paper. This is another card that we did at the class that I taught last week. I have dimensionals under the orange and under the “missed.”

What’s Your Type?

My Type: Underwood Mine is Underwood {::SMILES}. I am sooooo behind! I was suppose to post this last week but goodness, it just slipped my mind. BUT, you still have time for this challenge and the prize is oh so yummy too from Jen Geigley! Jen is uber talented. She’s a DT at the Red Velvet Kit Club and just love her style. I’ve been eyeing some RV kit too but not yet, not yet. One at a time I say. So come on, deadline is Sept. 20th at noon EST (11 CT, 10 MST)!! You don’t have to create a scrapbook page. It can be a card, an ATC, anything with YOUR type all over it!

Ok… related to this late posting… I am a bit overwhelmed. Got a lot to do!! It’s partly my part for procrastinating but I got everything done over the weekend: grading, swap cards for GSG, shopping (I hate home shopping!), community supper, and some bathroom painting. Oh, spending time with M and getting her some tennis shoes. This coming few weeks isn’t super relaxing either since I need to take 12 hours of Continuing Ed for my real estate license before the end of the month. I usually get it done in one day but I’m just not motivated.

I just want to do arts and crafts!!!! {::SMILES}. I’ve downloaded so much crap in this last few weeks. Not just the DigiChick’s stuff that I’m a CT in but all sorts of other stuff from other (awesome) designers. They’re all for hybrid projects or digi when I feel like it.

Ok, enough complaining… a lot to do and not enough time… especially when all you want to do is work on projects!!

Material:

One of my FAVORITE digi designer right now… Paislee Press: {Falling} for Retro. Obviously I’ve only used less than a hanful of her product. Her paper… OH SO AWESOME for digi/hybrid. No, I’m not her CT!
