Bug Me

This weekend I am leaving for a web developing conference. then next week is my birthday. I am gathering stuff for a nice blog candy so watch out for that. I am not looking forward to aging but I am happy that I’ve made it this far and being very happy. After my conference my sister-in-law will be here and then M and I will be leaving for CA on the 15th for my sister’s wedding and Disneyland. My parents will be in CA too and when M and I return, we’ll be hauling them with us. Oh, my in-laws will be in Missouri too for a week to meet my parents and so it’ll be uber super hectic and busy. Don’t expect a whole lot of craft from me this month. Plus I think I need a break. I am hitting a few creative snags. Having a very hard time focusing and completing projects. I have a few items stacked up just waiting for the right finishing touch. M on the other hand, she’s just been going!! After the 1st of November it’ll be peaceful again in the Wilder’s household.
So here’s a little card that I did using some leftover Sassafrass and a digital image from Mira Designs at the DigiChick. The bug me is my hand writing and anytime is SU’s rough edges alphabet stamp set. I did some paper piercing and under the piercing I did some scoring with my It. The ribbon I found from my stash.
The weather is definitely changing here. It’s been quite warm, high 70s or low 80s, but it’ll be in the 70s this week and the leaves are falling. I love fall and I can’t wait to take fall pics of M.

what a cute little “bug me anytime” card ! the colors are great and the paper is great – fresh and fun! did i ever tell you that my daughter (now 1 1/2) used to love to eat ladybugs…. seriously! i know of at least 6 that she has eaten — how do i know, you ask — well, because after eating them…. she threw them up…. how gross is that….
a week before her birthday – a ladybug that she was eating (i was a second too late…) got stuck in between her tooth and gum…. couldn’t get it out… we went to the dentist, the doctor… and every neighbor and friend stopped by with crazy tips and suggestions and actually tried to get it unstuck…. nothing…. the dentist and doctor both agreed – that it was just going to have to stay there till it got a little softer and then would fall out on its on…. seriously – how gross is that? so after 4 days of constantly checking, poking, prodding, suctioning and all kinds of other “techniques” … my husband commented that it looked like it was unwedging…. so he tried again – and voila — there it came out!!! my friend told me that i should keep it and scrap book it…. i am thinking… NO!
anyhow – for her 1st birthday – all her presents were ladybug related… her other little name is princess ladybug :)
sorry for this huge comment – but it just totally reminded me of that when i saw it :) hope you get to relax and enjoy some rest soon before the crazy schedule starts!

Super sweet card! Bet M loved it!
I’m with you on the weekend, it flew by WAY too fast this time! And you asked about my kids getting special treats…yes and no. My first year teaching they really got the good stuff…lots of handmade goodies and treat holders and gifts, etc. My second year it was less, but they still got some. This year…yet to be determined! It would be harder now since I move around to 6 different classes. I’m thinking of focusing on their teachers instead, who are working so hard for them!
