Circle Happy and Info on (bad) Plastic

Alright, enough of the geekie stuff, two days in a row… wow, that was a lot… on to arts and crafts {::SMILES}.

I don’t know, I think I had too much time on hand. I went to Archivers some weeks back and this We R Memories caught my eyes. From the first time I saw it, I knew that I had to just cut the circles out. So I did and here it is. I think there are 54 of them but not sure… I’m 100% sure that there are over 50 of them though, he! I did it at the lss and the gals thought I was nuts but ya know, cutting is soothing for me. I like!!

What do you think? Are you a trimming type of person?

I went to WalMart the other day and I saw Martha’s stuff being put up. They’re cute. I’m not a big fan of the lady but her stuff isn’t bad. There’s a birdie punch that I think I want to get. I can’t wait to see what all they’ve got there. Maybe next week they’ll have everything up.

Speaking of… WalMart thinks I’m nuts. I haven’t been using a plastic bag in the last month or more and sometimes I’d forget my grocery bags and so I’ll restack everything onto a different cart (I usually do the self checkout). There’s always a different person there and they all would just stare. The door person, they’re fine, I’d just wave my receipt and he/she will just wave back. Of course ppl that I passed, they all looked at my cart. I wonder what they were thinking of. One lady said to my hubby, “saving one tree at a time, huh?” Ok, was she off or we’re off? I didn’t think plastic’s from trees… they’re not made of rubber.

And while we’re in the subject of plastic… did you read the article in the TIME magazine about plastic? We’re going through our stuff to see what we have and reading more on this issue. We’ve been trying to avoid as many as we can due to the waste but now we see plastic in a different form. Ok, maybe we’re a little health freako but hey, if we can, why not, right?

Good for you on the plastic! I have been known to stuff my purse with with groceries if I am just picking up a few items. They think I am crazy too for not letting them bag it. I heard China has out lawed plastic bags. If a country with such a large population can do it why can’t we?!?!
