Yeah and Boo

The yeah.. I got to top ten for Kristina’s color challenge this week. Wow, I was surprised since there were sooo many great entries which you can check out at your convenience.
The boo and at the same time it’s yeah… is I didn’t make it to the last round of the Scrapperie contest. There were so many awesome scrapbookers and from the time I saw the first few uploads, I knew that my page wouldn’t make the cut and if it did, it would have been a huge surprise. Also I haven’t been very active in the forum/gallery there outside this contest and the point of the whole deal, besides the prize, is to find another member for their DT. Last week they’ve specifically said what they’re looking for so even before creating the layout I already I wasn’t going to make it to the next round. From 15 they cut it to just seven. Good luck ladies!!
Here’s the material and info for this layout:
Alpha: Sassafrass Lass, Making Memories
Cardstock: Archiver’s card stock pack and Stampin’ Up!
Ink: Stampin’ Up!
Pattern Paper: Daisy D, Amy Butler, Anna Griffin, Making Memories, 7Gypsies, Sassafrass Lass, Stampin’ Up! and the little tan with brown flowers is unknown… I’ve had it for 3-4 years now and it’s the last piece.
Journaling card: Collage Press
Stamps: Hero’s Art, Stampin’ Up!, PaperTrey Ink
Embellishments: Making Memories, Prima
Misc: Embroidery thread, lace, staples, buttons which you can find around the house if you’re like me or purchased anywhere. The angel image was from church…, from dd’s Vacation Bible School.
Tools: Martha Stewart butterfly punch and Making Memories distressing tool.
Journaling:
You were such a sweet puppy. So smart and spoiled. You were only six weeks young when I got you. This was in 1998. I miss you Kato Potatoe. I’ll see you again someday!
In my mind, the title reads:
You’ll always be my baby, my first baby always.
Always missing you and thinking of you.
But at the same time… that boo is also a yeah. Now I can focus on other things. I’ve been so into the contest that I feel like I’ve missing out on all the other scrapbooking going ons out there. So for this week and until I’m sick of them, I’m going to go through different sketch and challenge blogs and try out their stuff. I am not cut out for contests. I didn’t think I’d be going through round six in the first place.
Alright. Hope your weekend was great! See you later!

Ahhhhhh! That was such a sweet bit of journaling. Makes me want to make a page of my old Mog. Love the frame. Congrats on making it so far in the contest. I just know there’ll be others that you ace (and not hafta be on too many design teams, so you can enjoy that screened-in porch!) ;0)
