Pencil Lines Sketch and a Card

Pat in the back to me. I finished a scrapbook page, NOT digital, in a few hours. This is almost record time {::SMILES}. So here it is. This is sketch #72. Isn’t this a lovely sketch? I love it and I love the result. Especially because I got to use one of my current favorite Stampin’ Up! stamp set “Always”, I got to do some doodling, I made my own arrow (after three tries), I also used Time Well Spent butterfly stamp (two stamp set in one LO!), and for the first time I used my SU glitters (see the hearts on the LO). Let me tell ya about these glitters — they get on EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING I tell you. My floor, from my office/craft room to the bedroom and bathroom, has glitters! Hubby gave me a gnight hug earlier and regretted it. Ha ha… If anybody has any tip on how to do glitters without getting them all over, by all means, please let me know!
Solid paper: Bazzill (it’s behind the main background paper)
Pattern paper: The Paper Company is the background. I bought this years ago from Archivers. The flower that I cut out behind all the left side embellishment is … Window Collection (the first part got cut). The yellow floral and the black and white paper in the center of the blue flower are from 7Gypsie. The see through purple/blue floral paper is unknown, the tag I found in my stash, and the card stock is Stampin’ Up!
Stamps: Always and Time Well Spent
Embellishments: K & Company chipboard, Prima florals, Making Memories blue floral, Making Memories brad, Making Memories ribbon, SEI button, glitter glue, and SU glitters adhere with Heat and Stick Powder on Versamark.
Ink: SU craft white and classic black.
Pen: White Uni-ball Signo and Staedler 05 drawing and writing marker
Glue: ATG 1/4 Gold
Ok, I think I got everything.
I didn’t think I had any pictures but I found a stash that I was wanting to scrapbook some while back that I forgot about (as usual). I have a few more pictures and I have a few things that I can use — well I have more than a few things but ya know, don’t like using the same thing too often or too much. This picture was actually taken Oct. 20th, 2007 and not May. I thought it was from our trip to Hermann, MO but it was actually from last homecoming. I made the change on my LO but don’t feel like taking another picture just for that. M’s teacher took this photo — that’s why I’m in the picture. We were waiting for Drew to drive by with the ’62 Impala but that never happened. The old lady got overheated a block away from us. Imagine that! It couldn’t go another block. It’s been sitting in the garage ever since. Hubby just hasn’t found the time to really fix it. I think it’s running now but it can’t go anywhere far or maybe can’t go anywhere at all… ha ha… shows you how much I know. It’s a good looking car, just isn’t running {::Sigh}.
This card I made a couple weeks ago. It was for M’s friend. I cased my own card since I was too lazy to come up with a new design. I think maybe because it’s a 4-yr-old’s birthday and who knows what she did to the card. But I made it because I just love to and M thought it was the cutest thing for her little best friend.
Speaking of, M’s still sick. Poor baby. Took her to the doc and they gave her a nose medicine and lots of advice. They said no medicine can get rid of her sickness. She just needs lots of fluid, rest, and food if possible. Tonight is the first night that she hasn’t woken up every hour. She’s been sleeping in the office since 10 p.m. and has only woken up once. Oh I hope! Tomorrow dad’s staying with her and on Wednesday and Thursday if she’s still sick, I’m going to come home early so that hubby can go to his special swing shift schedule.
Ok, have a great night. I should go to bed — got to work tomorrow. Wow, feels like I’ve been gone for a loooooong time!

Add a CommentLove what you did with this sketch and also using the stamps on your layout. I found you through a thread for sharing your stamped layouts over at SCS. Glad you shared your page. Keep the stamped layouts coming. Love your work.

This is such a beautiful layout! I love the chipboard letters too! The card is adorable, nothing wrong with casing yourself!!! ha ha If you learn how to control the glitter, let me know, I tend to stay away from it because I don’t feel like dealing with the mess!
