Crop Night

I went to a 4 hour crop today. It was suppose to be 6 hours but I didn’t get there until almost 2 hours later. It was fun! Did a card, a case of my green and turquoise card (I’ll show you tomorrow) for the birthday party that we’re going to. Then I did 1.5 digi page. I’ll try to finish the other one this weekend. Not much left to do really, just need to find the time. But it might have to wait until next week. We’ll see. The next crop I’ll help prepare — FUN! Today I showed people how to distress using the Making Memory distressing tool. I was surprised at how many people didn’t know how to do it or knew what the little tool was for. I’ll take some pictures this weekend and I’ll post. It’s really easy and fun.
This LO is on Shady, our terrier mix dog. I know I did one with her and dad a few weeks back but this is just her. Isn’t she lovely? I decided to try poppig her out of the frame. I know there’s another step that I miss but I can’t remember and it looks fine the way it is. All I did was erase very carefully and for her shadow, I made selected her body, made a duplicate layer, filled it with black, gave it a gaussian blur, changed the opacity to 50, and moved it to the proper lighting. With the eraser tool I deleted the areas of her body that were outside the frame. Again, I think I’m missing something — but I think it’s acceptable.
I used two of Manu’s kit for this LO. The kits are from her latest work, Simple Pleasure and Lifetime Moments. I’ll be so sad when February is over. It’s when my guest designer-ship ends. I love her stuff! It’s really fun for layering and for creating this aged/vintage type LO. But I guess it wouldn’t be a bad thing. I plan on applying for another guest position with another designer — if there’s one that’s of interest to me that is. This way I get to try working with different people and using different kit style.
Ok, all. I’m going to bed. Hope to post again this weekend but if not, then I’ll see you next week. I really have a lot of cleaning to do upstairs. I’ve neglected my house this week. Hubby is studying for an important exam too next week – rank exam. So if he’s studying at home, M and me will have to find some activities outside the house. There’s a make & take at Archivers so we might drive to the city for that Sunday.

Spectacular! I love your style!
