FamilyI finally finished my “family” layout. It’s busy but I kind of like it because it represents us… we’re busy people. Even though this LO might have a similar feel with the rest of my LO, I thought it was a bit different. It was a bit outside my comfort zone. First of all I cut swirls out of a whole pattern paper. Never done that before and I kind of like the look and feel of it. I used a lot of rub-ons and I think my digital work has influenced me a lot in this department. I’m also layering more or mashing more varieties of elements and paper more. I really like the three little birds. I think they’re so cute. So here it is. There are two more pictures in my Flickr gallery. Just click any of the two pictures to get there.
Family CloseupSpeaking of family. My sister’s wedding is in August. She lives in the L.A. area. For that reason, my parents, who live in Indonesia, are flying up for the wedding and also to visit us in Missouri — they’ve never been to this part of the U.S. before (we lived in Idaho when I was young). They’ll stay with my sister first and then they’ll visit me after the wedding. Wow! That’s our big news this week or this year really.
